Narrator's POV
The next day, Subin went to school. Yonsei University is part of SKY, therefore, it is one of the most prestigious universities in the country. At Yonsei, Subin didn't really have a lot of friends. Then again, she never really talked to anyone besides the wealthy. After school, she went home and changed into one of her more casual attires. Subin was doing some of her papers at home when the servant came in
"agassi, sir Junyoung is here" she said
"wae?" Subin asked not giving her a look
"he said that he is taking you on a date" she said
"oh yeah" the girl said putting her papers inside a folder. The girl grabbed one of her bags and a pair of heels before going downstairs
"honey" Junyoung said sweetly. Subin forced a smile and reluctantly gave him a hug. "kaja?"
"mm" she nodded "I'll be back later, don't prepare me dinner"
"neh agassi" the chef nodded. Junyoung led the girl to his car and opened the door
"what a gentleman you are" she said sarcastically. As soon as Junyoung entered the car, his kind smile faded "you know you interrupted me of my paperwork"
"well then you can get back to it at the coffee shop" Junyoung said driving off. The car ride to the coffee shop wasn't necessarily awkward, more ditasteful. Subin got out of the car with no words once they arrived. "no thank you?"
"you don't really deserve one from me" Subin said walking into the coffee shop.
"Subin-ssi annyeonghaseyo" the cashier said
"annyeonghaseyo" Subin said "one vanilla bean frappe, whipped cream"
"size?" he asked
"grande" Subin said giving him her card
"alright thank you, take a seat and we'll bring your drink to you" he said
"kamsahamnida" Subin smiled going to her 'usual' spot. The girl laid out her papers and began working, only stopping when her frappuchino came. The girl was thinking intently, unaware of the several boys that were watching her. "aish chincha umma. If you design 3 summer outfits that are basically trash to the human eye. Oh my God, I need to hire younger designers. Ugh na mori"
The girl kept working, her headache getting bigger the more she worked on the project. Her umma expected her to do the viewing part and to make any changes. She stayed there until closing time, the workers making her leave by force. Subin sighed in frustration, some of appa's work load and some of umma's work load, plus school and this arrianged marriage stuff, Subin was beat. It was dark out now and alhough a bit intimidated, Subin kept walking to the way of her university.
Subin took out her phone and that was when she noticed that a few boys were walking her wa. She didn't mind much of it, just thinking that they were passing by, but when they stopped in front of her, she looked up. Two of them grabbed her, another taking her bag and emptying out its contents.
"yah! You can't-mmmf"
She was getting robbed. Subin thrashed around violently, trying to resist their actions. Subin thought she was done for, but then a figure came and attacked the three men. The girl gasped and noticed that her 'savior' was wearing a black mask, the only thing she could remember was his perfectly styled brown hair. The figure silently picked up her belongings handing it to her without a word
"thank you" Subin said staring into his eyes. "do I...perhaps know you?"
He nodded and took off his mask
"Mark?" she said surprised "what are you doing here? more importantly why did you save me?"
"what kind of person would I be if I didn't help a girl in distress" he said
"how did you know I was here" Subin said
"we all sorta overheard you yesterday" he said "I wanted to get some coffee myself too"
"well..anyway thank you" Subin muttered
"you're welcome" he said "I'll call a taxi for you"
"you really don't need to-"
"yeobosayo? neh can I have a taxi? I'm at Yonsei University" Mark said "neh kamsahamnida"
"I'll pay you back somehow" Subin said giving him her phone "put in your number, I'll call you"
"you don't have to pay me back-"
"I want to" Subin said and demanded "now put in your number"
"alright fine" Mark said taking her phone. In a little bit, the taxi arrived.
"thank you again" she said getting in the car
"just get home safe" Mark waved watching the taxi leave. From when the two parted, Subin couldn't stop thinking about Mark. Why would he save her? Why didA/ he even go there? Why are his eyes so pretty?
"aish, I'm going crazy" Subin said plopping down on her bed. She half-consciously changed into her night gown, putting her other clothes in the bin, before glancing at Mark's number on her phone. She didn't really notice how good looking he really was, but- "no stop Kwon Subin. You can't be thinking like this."
"agassi, are you okay?" the servant asked as she heard Subin scream in frustration
"bring me some head medicine and water" Subin sad "oh and sleeping pills"
"neh agassi" the servant said going downtairs
"ugh culmanahe Kwon Subin. It was just a nice action" she said "yeah, he was being nice. It doesn't mean anything..."
