Chapter 5

“Let go of me, you fool.” She kicked her long legs in the air frantically as they reached the bedroom.

Jaejoong plopped her onto the bed & got on top of her.

“What are you doing to me?”

“Nothing.” He said, & reached out for the drawers to retrieve something out of it, “I’m only going to tie you to the bedpost.” He said, binding both of her wrist to the posts with his pebble stripe burgundy tie. Her struggling proved pathetic compared to his strength.

“Untie me!” Yuri shouted, her eyes overflowing with anger.

“Shhh.” He covered with his hand, “Listen to me, Yuri.”

“Mmm.” She struggled, shaking her head.

“Please just listen to what I have to say?”

Yuri stopped struggling & stared at him hard before nodding her head. Jaejoong pulled his hand away from & looked into her eyes, “Yuri, you can’t turn to alcohol whenever you need comfort. It’s not going to solve anything.”

“Alcohol helps me wash my problems away. It’s what gives me the comfort I need even if you may think otherwise. People don’t understand me like alcohol does. It’s like my saviour. I can drink away & fall asleep without having to cry every night like I always do.”

“Yuri…”

“All I need is someone to love me. All I need is someone to show me I’m special to them. Is that too much to ask for?” She broke into tears.

Jaejoong couldn’t stand seeing her like this. He never knew the severity of how much pain she went through. He could see so much pain through her eyes as it was crushing him, too. He untied her wrist & gathered her into his arms, “Shhh, honey, I’m here for you.”

Her heart skipped a beat. He just called her honey? God, that was the sweetest thing anyone had ever called her. She held him tighter, “You are not just saying that, are you?” Yuri whimpered, squeezing him in her arms, “I mean it. If you need a friend, I will always be here for you.” He comforted.

Friend? Why not lover? Why not comforter? Why not husband? She pushed him away from her sharply, “A friend? Is that what I’m to you? In case you have forgotten, Jaejoong Oppa, we are married now.” She said harshly, it surprised Jaejoong.

“I thought…”

“Well, you thought wrong.” She cut in, “I have a husband but he only sees me as his friend. Oh whoopee. God, & to think I was even pregnant with his baby, too.” She forced on a painful smile, smirking “Most of all, I can’t believe I fell in love with you.” She said faintly, averting her face to the other direction.

Jaejoong’s face shot up. Did he hear it wrong? Was he hallucinating? He looked at Yuri, stunned.

She turned to faced Jaejoong again, knowing the silence from him meant he heard the little confession she had made, “Yes, I fell in love with you. You were the single person in my life who showed me I could be valued & I thank you for that. I cherished that moment within my heart with every passing day. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about what we shared.” She said firmly.

Jaejoong didn’t know what to say. He was speechless. Yuri turned her face to the other way & the room submerged into silence. She knew he didn’t feel likewise & that’s what tormented her most. Why couldn’t she just keep shut & hide her feelings within? How could she be so stupid to admit her feelings like that?!
