Tao stood in the line waiting patiently as he occasionally looked over his shoulder and toward the table where he left them. He can't exactly recall when he became the type of guy that constantly looked over his back but he could definitely recall the reason for it.
"Hi. How can I take your order today?" A feminine spoke behind him, pulling him away from what his original focus was to politely greet her in return with a smile. He saw her eye the leopard ear headband that he wore and once again became extra embarrassed that he had agreed to wear them.
"Hi, um, let me have two orders of the double cheeseburgers and two orders of the chicken tenders," He began before giving the menu another glance and then adding, "Also a large order of fries and a large order of onion rings."
"Anything to drink with that?" She continued kindly before her responded.
"Four sodas and a large bottle of water."
"Alright. That will be $15.45." Tao handed her the exact amount. "Here's you receipt. Your order should be coming up shortly."
"Thank you."
He walked over to the other side of the stall and once again turn to look over his shoulder. Turning to glance at them he couldn't help but admire the view of them talking and laughing under the shade of one of the nearby tables that had an umbrella protruding upward from the center. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day and despite them being there for a couple of hours already, they just couldn't help but want to continue exploring around the zoo. But he couldn't blame them. It was their first trip there after all. Hence why they were all wearing matching leopard ear headbands.
"Here's your order, sir," He was broken out of his thoughts when the nice lady handed him his tray of food and drinks to take back to the table. With great care he did so and eventually he got up to where he could hear them.
"And then he made a noise out of his trunk and a bunch of water came out!" The smaller boy yelled out excitedly as he leaned over the table, using his body to animate what he was describing.
"No way!" He smiled when he heard the beautiful brunette gasp in response to his story. He always knew she would be an amazing mother, but he couldn't help the way kids always seemed to be in awe of her, constantly charmed by the way she was so expressive with them and genuinely interested in what they had to say.
"Mama, you were there!" Now a smaller version of the girl who was speaking yelled out in a just as expressive manner as her younger brother. Both of them which they got from their mother.
"Oh was I?" Min acted coy
