Chapter 2
The Murder GameMeanwhile, Zico was relaxing at a spa, getting a much-needed massage. He kept opening his eyes every two minutes to check if his black leather suitcase was still there. It was his life, really. He had just been paid after his job was completed. It was always this way. After each completed job, he would find a suitcase filled with money inside his room. Who did he work for? Nobody knew. Not even him. He had been approached by an old man in a suit, on the first day. But that couldn't be his boss. For starters, he didn't even look smart enough. Although he had been working for his boss for quite a long time, he had never even heard his voice. Zico preferred surgical knives as his weapons, simply because they were really easy to use, and he could escape quickly. Natural poisons were another easy way, as he would never be caught. Zico had grown up with an obsession with serial killers. He had always found them extremely fascinating. There had to be something amazing, the rush you feel when you have someone at your mercy. Strangely enough, Zico preferred easy methods of death, which involved little work for him. He switched his attention back to the masseuse and motioned for her to continue. He felt her stiffen, and press his back in warning. So now he shouldn't move. Amazing. Who the hell was it, disturbing his
massage? He really wanted to just knock their heads together. The woman kept moving her hands in a strange way, almost as if she was trying to tell him something. Zico tried to concentrate and found that she was writing some letters. J-A-N-U-S. It couldn't be. Not again.
He didn't have the energy to deal with that guy again. They had had skirmishes before and Zico had always come out on top. Was Janus trying to kill him? First, he had to get out of there before Janus struck. This time, he had to protect the girl, too. Janus must be stuck on stupid. How could he even think of attacking someone in broad daylight when he really wasn't good enough? Oh, all the things he had to do. He silently motioned for the girl to move, as he quickly put his clothes back on. Luckily for him, he could recognize Janus' thugs easily. He pulled out his sharp 10cm long needle with one hand and grabbed the girl with the other. This place wouldn't be safe for her anymore...because she had helped him. He could see one of Janus' men outside and quick as lighting, he plunged that needle into his neck. Death was instantaneous, and the thug didn't make a sound. He continued killing all of the thugs till he reached outside. It was quiet. Almost....too quiet. Suddenly, he saw the girl running back into the building? Was she out of her mind? She ran back to him, holding his suitcase. Oh yes, his money. He couldn't believe he had forgotten it. He hailed a cab and told the girl to go home. He had work to do. This time, Janus was going to die a slow and painful death. By the time he finished with him, Janus would be begging for mercy. As he went back to his mansion and sharpened his dagger, he saw his phone light up, with the message 'Boss needs you'. What was it this time? The boss always had pretty bad timing. Gritting his teeth, he replied to the message with just one word. 'Who?' It seemed like Janus was going to live for a while longer. He had to complete the job first.
