death occurs twice (die, live, die)
Course of Lightningtwo little boys sat by the playground,
their lacking brown orbs creeping by the ground
a handful of children pass by, screaming of joy and what not
but their heads are kept down and swallowed by the brown
a hand reaches to grab them
and the first boy flinched, as he is dragged away by the shadow
the other boy reflects the action but his body is stuck onto the bench
empty and helpless, the first boy evolves into a hysteric man, lured into the depths of the earth
the second boy is now mute.
he sits still and proper,
eyes lacklustre as he blinks once, then twice, before realizing that his friend is gone.
he opens his palms to find a clock,
palms ticking as time runs by
the second boy stares up at the light
and whispers a word
but the whole playground was buzzing with life
as he cringed into the night,
finding his tattered self sitting beside him,
the next day.
