The Perfect End

They'll Never Know

So this is the final one guys! I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. :) please comment!

I have a very sad, sad story to tell you. It is about a girl (myself) who ordered MAMACITA and a few other KPOP related discs, and now I have to wait an undisclosed period of time whilst my order is stuck in customs. :'( The end. lol

Shameless promotion here. But please do check out my new fic: Somewhere in the Grey. I worked really hard on it and you won't be disappointed! I will start uploading it soon! It is about a this disease thing and Kyuhyun is a medical student doing research on it. :)

Prompt: Bonds

Jongwoon was surprised. He didn’t expect society to take his and Kyuhyun’s relationship so well. Well he wasn’t expecting everyone to reply so positively about the news. Most of the fans responses found it really cute. He heard many disturbing things from the fans about how they had paired them up together before it became a reality and imagined rather erted things. Some other people who were hating against him saying that Kyuhyun deserved so much better than him, but Kyuhyun waved off the criticism and said that Kyuhyun didn’t deserve him. It then of course ended with an argument of who deserved who and making up with a wave of kisses enough to make any passing person vomit because of the grease.

The topic of marriage never came up again as Jongwoon and Kyuhyun decided to let the news of their relationship settle down before unifying their relationship with a ring. It was always an underlying thought though. They knew that they wanted to spend the rest of forever with each other but they still weren’t sure when or where they could do it. Gay marriage still wasn’t allowed in Korea, so they could have a private ceremony that no one knew about, or they could go abroad to say their vows. If they were to go to another country, Jongwoon would want to go to America to get married whilst Kyuhyun said it would be absolutely amazing to get married in London, and then have a small celebration on top of the London Eye when it was dark.

Jongwoon also quite liked the idea of going to England as well. Whilst all of the other members had gone to London to perform their Super Show 5, Jongwoon had to stay behind in Korea to complete his military service. He heard it was really good though and the streets in London were just as good if not even better than Korea. He watched Hyukjae and Donghae’s Still You music video many times, looking at how the culture was so different to over here in Korea. He liked how their coffee shop just felt so British and calm – he knew he would definitely like to there to try their British tea.

In a way, though, he really wanted to get married in Korea. He was born and raised here so why should he have to go elsewhere to say his vows?

Another thing that he wanted at his wedding was for it to be a quiet ceremony: without the fans or reporters. He just wanted it to be in front of his closest family: his parents, brother and members of Super Junior. He knew that Kyuhyun would want more people such as his extended family, but he wasn’t particularly close to them and he was concerned they might be slightly old fashioned and have negative views on homouality.

Of course, his parents weren’t particularly impressed when they found out Jongwoon’s true relationship with Kyuhyun. They moaned about being the ones to give birth to him and nurture him to the person he was today yet they were one of the last people to find out about his relationship status. Having said that, the members of Super Junior gave them the cold shoulder for a good few hours before the onslaught of “why didn’t you tell us” and similar questions being repeatedly asked whilst him and Kyuhyun would give the same mere response of “we weren’t ready to reveal it at the time, and then the opportunity never came up”. They ended up forgiving them but they received a lot of banter from it about doing naughty things which always caused Jongwoon to blush a range of shades of red.

But Jongwoon was ready now. He wanted to get married to Kyuhyun. He didn’t care about the amount of criticism he would receive. He wanted to finally share the connection he had with the younger male further and bind them together with the scary words of “I do” and exchange rings.

He desperately wanted to approach Kyuhyun about it. He knew that the younger male would willing marry him, but he also wanted Kyuhyun to be the one who asks him rather than the other way round. He also wanted to get his parents’ permission so that they wouldn’t mind paying for the wedding because they had to pay for his previous one and then pay extra because Jongwoon decided to leave before the ceremony was over.

Fortunately, his parents were extremely understanding and accepted Jongwoon’s request. They replied saying that they could really see how much they cared for each other and seeing as they had been in this relationship for many years and still managed to keep their relationship going strong, they were sure that their marriage was forever. In fact, they were jumping in happiness that their son was truly happy with Kyuhyun, although they were slightly disappointed that they wouldn’t have any grandchildren that they could babysit. However, as long as their son is happy, he is old enough to make decisions and whatever it is, his parents would always be extremely proud of him.

Jongwoon’s next aim was to get Kyuhyun to propose to him. That was no easy feat. Though everyone said that Jongwoon was the densest man alive (it was true), Jongwoon firmly believed that Kyuhyun was pretty dense whenever the matter involved him.

“Kyuhyun ah, you know that we promised each other for forever?” Jongwoon asked as he lay in bed in Kyuhyun’s arms. They had only just woken up in the morning and even though Kyuhyun kept insisting for a kiss, Jongwoon refused because he hated morning breath.

“Jongwoon hyung, is this your way of asking me to propose to you?”

Jongwoon giggled into Kyuhyun’s chest, making sure not to make eye contact with the younger man. “Maybe.”

“You could just propose to me you know.”

“But I don’t want to. I want you to propose to me instead. But it has to be all romantic and unexpected, alright? And I don’t want it to be a big thing.”

And so, Kyuhyun proposed to Jongwoon after Super Junior’s 10th anniversary after party where all the members were drinking in the dormitory. Kyuhyun made the announcement in front of everyone causing squeals throughout the room and Jongwoon screaming the loudest, almost jumping into Kyuhyun’s arms as he accepted the ring, letting Kyuhyun put the ring on his left middle finger.

And then the preparations started.

It was noticeable how much extra effort Jongwoon was putting into the wedding rather than his previous one where he didn’t help at all. He wanted it to be perfect.

And it was!

He managed to get a small church just outside central Seoul to hold the small wedding without any information about the event being leaked. Jongwoon made everything colour coordinated to represent Super Junior. Despite the usual black suit and white dress worn at weddings, both men wore blue suits with white ties while the best men wore white. The flowers were an array of different shades of blue and white.

Unlike his previous disaster of a wedding, he was jumping up and down out of nervousness and excitement. He kind of understood what Jungsoo meant by wedding nerves now. He was so excited because it was the biggest day for him (well, other than when Super Junior debuted).

As he waited, Lee Jong Suk, his best man, walked in smiling brightly. “Hyung! It is almost time to go!” The best man stared at Jongwoon. “How much coffee have you consumed? You are practically jumping off the walls! Anyway, it is time to go in. Are you ready?”

Jongwoon nodded, extending his arms so that the younger male wrap his arm lightly against Jongwoon’s, and they headed into the hall where he saw Kyuhyun standing by the altar. As much as Jongwoon despised it, he didn’t want to walk into the hall as if he was the bride, but it just so happened that he arrived slightly later. And he couldn’t do anything but walk straight up as there were many faces staring at him as he walked down the aisle.

Kyuhyun smiled at him as he walked towards him and Jongwoon couldn’t help but feel his heart speed up. He walked up, stopping next to the younger male who turned to face him before sending a quick wink before turning to the vicar in front of him, watching as the best man gave the two rings, from the small pillow in his arm to the vicar. The two rings that would symbolise the bond that they would share together through marriage.

-

“Do you Kim Jongwoon, take Cho Kyuhyun to be your husband – to live together after God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honour and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?”

“I do.”
