Jungsoo wasn’t particularly sure on what to think when he saw Kyuhyun run down the wedding aisle, wearing the suit that had been bought for each member of Super Junior. What he was not expecting was to hear Kyuhyun shouting “stop the wedding!” It caused extreme fuss to everyone especially Moon Geun Young to whom Jongwoon was going to marry.

He definitely did not expect Jongwoon to turn to the bride and whispered a sad “I’m sorry, but I can’t marry you.” Who would have imagined Moon Geun Young to actually smile back at the groom and urge him on to do what he wanted with an understanding look? One sight he could have never believed was to see Jongwoon turn around and envelop Super Junior’s maknae in a bone crushing hug along with a soft kiss of the lips in front of everyone. Even in front of Moon Geun Young’s parents, who looked furious to say the least.

And the wedding ended just like that.

Jungsoo was heartbroken: his months of planning all thrown to the waste. He would be lying if he said that he didn’t spend a good three hours deciding which tissue origami should be used at the meal.

Then again, he found it overwhelmingly cute that Jongwoon and Kyuhyun had found love with each other, regardless of the fact that they were both male. He was also pretty shocked. He wondered how long they had been in their so called relationship for and how they managed to keep their bond a secret in such a way that no one suspected it.

It couldn’t be true! Surely he was imagining things! He was the leader of Super Junior and he knew everything! Even whilst he was in the army, he was first to know about Shindong and Kang Shi Nae. How did he know nothing about Jongwoon and Kyuhyun?! He really needed to clarify details with them. He needed to know if it was the right thing for both of them. He wanted to make sure that both Jongwoon and Kyuhyun knew that their relationship was definitely going to be published worldwide and even cause controversy for fans and netizens globally – especially in this day and age where gay relationships were still not widely accepted.

But it will be alright, right? Because Jungsoo will just wake up in the morning and all of it will be a dream and Jongwoon will be getting married in the morning.

Wrong.

When Jungsoo woke up, he walked downstairs to the lower dorm and found Jongwoon sleeping in Kyuhyun’s arms, both with noticeably happy smiles stretched on their faces. He knew that he would have to plan an interview where they would reveal to the reporters the truth about the two Super Junior singer’s relationship. The news would have probably have started to spread by now and Jungsoo didn’t want the unnecessary stress, he decided that he wanted it to be sorted out quickly.

He set out a few phone calls, calling for an emergency interview and woke up the two sleeping men from Kyuhyun’s bedroom.

“I want to clarify a few things. Are you and Jongwoon really going out?” Jungsoo asked, eyeing the two men who were slowly sitting up. He noted how Jongwoon rested his head on Kyuhyun’s shoulder whilst practically sitting on the younger male’s lap.

“Yes.” Jungsoo couldn’t believe this. So it was true! And he considered Jongwoon and Kyuhyun as his brothers whom they could go to confide to. Jungsoo made it clear to everyone in Super Junior that they had to tell each other everything. Well minus the tiny details, Jungsoo clarified when Heechul started to disclose to everyone about his whole life. Some things should remain unspoken and forgotten.

“For how long?”

“Around five years now.” Five years? Five years of not suspecting a thing? How could everyone be so dense? Having said that, they never seemed to be together when anyone was around. They would sit on opposite sides of the sofa if they were having a film night; they would go on different cars from one schedule to another; they would sit on opposite sides of the table when they ate meals together. No one would have been able to have guessed their true relationship. And anyway, how did they manage to be together in a room without anyone else there? Jongwoon shared a room with Ryeowook and Kyuhyun shared one with Sungmin. It would have been impossible for them to have made sure their roommate was not returning for them to have some ‘alone’ time.

“Why didn’t you tell us? I thought we were your family.”

“We considered, but it was for the best. We didn’t want unnecessary stress. But it is kind of nice now because we can now have a bit more freedom with what we do.” Freedom? It was definitely going to be the opposite. He knew that everyone was going to be slightly judgmental at first with their skin ship but then again, he was pretty much their father and so at the end of the day, he would have to consent that both Jongwoon and Kyuhyun were in a relationship together. Hopefully the other members will also accept this.

“We now have unnecessary stress now! I have had to call for an emergency meeting because details have been let out from your supposed wedding that you left Moon Geun Young at the altar.”

“Well, technically I did.” Jongwoon said, turning to Kyuhyun and placing a kiss on Kyuhyun’s cheek. It make Jungsoo feel slightly out of place watching the two men interact in such a way with each other.

“Yes, but then someone posted a picture of you in Kyuhyun’s arms and now the whole fandom is screaming in anger. This will definitely cause our popularity to waver.” Jungsoo replied, getting out his phone to display the picture. Sure he wasn’t particularly happy with the unexpected event (well he was actually really happy that Jongwoon and Kyuhyun were happy), but he knew he was furious at the fan who managed to get in to the service and had the courage to even do such a vulgar action.

“Is popularity all that matters now? Have you ever considered how we feel? We are humans too and we deserve love at least once in our lifetimes.” Jongwoon spoke out, dragging Kyuhyun out of the bedroom, leaving a shocked Jungsoo behind.

Jungsoo ran after the two males, who had made their way to the kitchen so that Jongwoon could brew himself a mug of coffee. Jungsoo noticed the way Kyuhyun’s arms wrapped around the Jongwoon’s tiny waist, whilst having his chin resting against Jongwoon’s shoulder. He couldn’t help but smile at the two males’ interactions and watching them act so lovingly (especially Kyuhyun) around each other. “Popularity isn’t what is important. I just want you to know that both you and Kyuhyun are going to have to go through a lot now. I am slightly disappointed that you didn’t tell me about it, but I am also really happy that both of you are happy together. "

Jungsoo watched as Jongwoon turned around, pushing Kyuhyun to the side with a flustered expression so that he could face the leader of Super Junior and swatting Kyuhyun’s arm away, which was trying to encircle its way around his waist. “Thanks hyung. I really appreciate that you accept us, and both Kyuhyun and I have talk about it and we are ready for the onslaught of criticism that will no doubt come to attack us. I am sorry for not telling you, but we wanted to keep it a secret because we weren’t sure how far it would progress. If it was just going to be a thing that lasted a few weeks, we would have ended it and our relationship would have never come up. But obviously it didn’t.” Jongwoon explained, his cheeks going flush.

“That is okay. Just, from now on, you have to tell me everything, alright?” Jungsoo smiled, patting Jongwoon on the shoulder before turning to leave.

“Wait, hyung. One more thing.” Jungsoo turned around, curious as to what Jongwoon was about to say. “Kyuhyun and I have discussed this in great detail. But we have decided that we want to get married. If we get more hate, then so be it.”

What?

“Are you sure this is the right thing for both of you? You realise that you are both still very young and still have lots of potential.”

“Hyung, I am really sure and I want to be the one who tells the reporters. Well, I don’t want to, Kyuhyun is going to be the one to tell them, aren’t you?”

“What? This is news to me!” Jongwoon punched Kyuhyun lightly in the chest, the younger male feigning pain. “Yes, I will be the one who tells the reporters about mine and Jongwoon’s relationship and our intention for the future.”

“Alright, just to let you know, I have booked an interview for this afternoon. I hope you are ready for it. I am happy for you two.” Jungsoo embraced the two males in a hug before waking the rest of the members of Super Junior up.

“Are you absolutely sure about this?” Leeteuk asked Kyuhyun before the interview, patting the shoulders of the maknae’s suit to remove any visible dust from the jacket.

“Totally sure, hyung.” Kyuhyun’s hand tightened against Jongwoon’s smaller one.

And they entered to the loud room where flashing lights and microphones were directed towards them, as well as the uncertain future.
