I give her a small peck on the lips.

"Your kiss was just too unexpected.

I-I... I like you, too... A lo-"

Without even getting to finish my sentence she embraces me in a bone breaking hug.

But I don't mind.

The wall that had always been between us, has broken down.

We're the same now:

Two shining lights in a world full of darkness.

"Do you want to stay over at my house tonight?"

Soojung suddenly asks after letting go of me.

The question startles me but I quickly compose myself and answer her.

"Hmm... I'm going to call my mother first.

Wait a second, okay?"

I dial my mother's number but she isn't picking up so I send her a text instead.

"She isn't picking up but I sent her a text.

She should be okay with me staying at your house though, since she always nags me for not having any friends and...

Uhh... I think I talk too much."

"Yes, you do.

But I like it." She giggles.

How is it possible for a human being to be this perfect?

Out of instinct I take out my notebook only to realise that she isn't supposed to know about it.

I hastily try to put it back into my backpack but Soojung is faster than me.

"Why did you take your notebook out?

Huh? Are these facts about yourself?"

What? About myself?

"Uhh...Th-These are actually facts about you."

"Oh, really?

I think they kind of fit you, too..."

"I guess we probably have more things in common than we know."

I say excitedly.

"I can't wait to find out everything about you."

Soojung says with a smile on her face.

We start walking to Soojung's house together, holding hands, chatting and laughing.

This must be what happiness feels like.

We arrive and she opens the door with a key and we walk inside.

Just as we pass the living room a woman, who is probably Soojung's mother, greets us.

"Soojung? Why are you here?

I thought you were going to sleep over your friend's house today."

"What? Why do you think that?"

"You sent me a text a few minutes ago saying that-"

"Yeah, whatever Mom. I'm staying at home.

They must've dialed the wrong number."

Without saying another word Soojung drags me upstairs to her room.

"This mom, seriously. She didn't even greet you.

I'm so sorry Nina."

"No, don't be.

I'm used to people not noticing me. It's normal.

But why did she say that you were going to sleep over at a friend's house today?

Did you already have plans with someone else?"

"No. I'm confused about that, too.

My mom doesn't really know how to use her phone though.

It must've been a misunderstanding."

I nod and she sits down next to me on the only bed in the room.

"So... where am I going to sleep?"
