►Fasten

Fasten is one of the many traditions of angel culture. Two weeks before the winter solstice the angels have a Fasten period, in which they cleanse themselves before the start of the new year. In these two weeks, angels only drink water and eat nothing but small portions of plain rice with vegetables. It is forbidden to commit acts of pleasure or violence during Fasten, for the Father is the only thing on your mind. One must reflect on their actions and repent for their sins. The angels must purify their souls and better themselves to serve the Father in a better way. Masses are held every day, where the word of the Father is preached alongside with stories about what happens when you sin.

Through Fasten, angels are able to meet the new year with a clean conscious. The day after the solstice is seen as the start of the new year.
 

►Year divisions and Dorm life

Most students attend the Academy for five years, generally between the ages of 14 and 19. As Mr. JYP explained in the chapter, every grade wears a different colour of suspenders and tie with their uniform.

The Academy has four dorms, divided by gender and age. There are two boy's dorms, split in the younger and older dorm and the same goes for girls. Students turning 16 years old within the first half of the academic year are placed in the older dorm of their respective gender.

Leading each of these dorms are two senior students, living in their own headquarters and keeping watch over the other student-residents.

 

►People introduced

A student card generally shows the character's name, age and race, and in some cases, their gift or grace. Each card has it's own unique colour, reflecting the person's color of energy.
