The color bled from his hair until it was a soft brown. His eyes lightened to a soft hazel color. "I'm always next to you, Xiu Xiu. I always have been." You say, smiling. "Where else would I be?"

"You're going to leave me. You're going to find some human and leave me forever." He said, standing you up. He was only half in this world when you responded.

"I would never leave you and you would never leave me. You know that. Did you forget ghosts were just dead humans?" You started to turn away, but felt him just behind you.You stopped, wanting to turn around, but waiting, to see if he wanted you to. Despite the sounds of kids shouting and playing, you heard nothing, but the silence that stood between the two of you.
