Mei Pov

"Good morning" my mother smiled as I entered living room.

"Morning mom" I smiled back as  I stretched my arms.

"Your dad is in his office he wanted to talk to you" she said as she turned the t.v. on to watch the news.

"Okay, do you know what it's about" I asked but she just shook her head. I walked down the hallway towards my fathers office. He's is probably the only person who can scare the living crap out of me by saying I need to talk to you because whenever he says that I know I need to prepare myself for his wrath.

"Dad" I mumbled as I entered his office. Only to find his chair turned to face the window. God this is like a gangster movie.

"Hello Mei" yup that just made it ten times worse.

"Mom said you wanted to talk to me about something" I mumbled as I tripped on the rug but caught myself.

"Explain this" he said as he turned around to face me and threw a manilla envelope full of photos onto his desk. I picked up one of the photos and it was one of me leaving Lay's house yesterday.

"What is this?" I mumbled as I set it back down.

"You know what it is" he said sternly.

"Of course I know what it is, but how do you have this?" I asked in annoyance. Did my dad really go to the extent of having someone follow me.

"I thought I made it clear that you weren't allowed to have these kinds of relationships" He said as he picked up a different photo and threw it at me. I caught the photo and looked at it. It was of me and Lay kissing outside of his house.

"What am I a nun or something? Why can't I have a normal relationship with someone who treats me well like any other normal teenager" I said sarcastically as I threw the photo back at him.

"I was gonna tell you this when we go to the Wu's tonight but I guess i'll tell you now" he sighed.

"Tell me what" 

"You're going to marry Kris, at the end of the month" He said as he threw me a jewelry box.

"You're lying right" I chuckled dryly as I opened the box.

"I think you should begin to wear that" he said blankly, he most definitley was not joking. Inside the box sat a simple looking engagement ring.
