Mei POV

"Huang Mei Ling!" my father shouted as I sat there kneeling before him.

"Father, I'm asking for this one favor!" I shouted back not even bothering to stop the tears from running down my face "Let mom have a divorce! Please! You've tortured her long enough don't you think? Let her be burden free these last few moments of her life, can't you do something good for her!"

"I will not divorce your mother!" he shouted as I sobbed into my hands "Whatever happens between your mother and I is none of your concern and as far as you asking things of me I don't think you are in the place to. I never thought I raised you to be an adulterer."

"I have never asked you once for anything in my entire life! I went along with this marriage for you even though you clearly knew I was in love with someone else. Did you want me to go through the smae pain mom did watching you cheat on her, torture her, not only abusing her mentally but physically as well?" I chuckled bitterly before standing up

"And to think you didn't raise me to be an adulterer considering you raised me on broken promises and lies!" I screamed at him as he stood there a bewildered beyond furious look growing in his eyes.

"You have no idea what I went through when I was your agebeing in love with a woman who thought of you as a monster." he seethed through his teeth and that's exactly how he seemed like to me, a monster.

"I'm done trying to fix things" I laughed bitterly before taking a step closer to him and ripping the necklace I have been wearing these six years given to me by my father and setting it in his hand.

"You clearly don't consider me a daughter and to me you never acted as a father" and with that I stormed  out of his office and out of that cursed house.

"Mom, I'm so sorry" I mumbled as I wiped away my tears and quickly got into my car and sped as far away from that house as I could get.

"Mrs.Wu" Kris' secretary bowed as I entered the room.

"Is he busy?" I said blankly as she smiled.

"No, he's free you can go in." and with that I didn't even bother knocking and walked straight in.

"Mei" Kris said in suprise as he looked up from his paper work and stood up.

"We need to get ready for the charity event tonight." I sighed as he stepped towards me and I could feel myself breaking dow
