You were busy as you were preparing for the important event that was going to happen in few days’ time. You were stress as this is the first event that you will be catering. Not only that, it is also one of the important event.

You: Omg! What happened again this time?

Worker 1: sorry jessica but I accidently drop the pack of rice.

You: how can you be so careless?! you have wasted a pack of rice which can feed half of the guest

Worker 2: It’s my fault too because I never realised my surrounding and bump into her

You: I want you two to clean this mess and get a new pack of rice. And remember, no more such mistakes happening again.

 Worker 1 and 2: Alright Jessica

Annabel: what happened? I heard you scolding the two workers?

You: one of the worker had drop a pack of rice which can feed half of the guest!

Annabel: Jinja? Then how?

You: I ask them to get a new pack of rice *sighs*

Annabel:*looks at you* Jessica, I think you have stress yourself too much on this current event. I think you should take a break

You: no, sorry I can’t Annabel. I still have a lot of stuff to do and besides this is my first assignment ever since I started working here.

Annabel: alright alright but remember don’t work too hard. I scared you will fall sick

You: alright annbel 

(Kris Pov)

Three more days and I will be officially be 23 years old. Mum and Dad had organised a party for my birthday celebration and invited a sum of people. I also had invited some people to share the special day with me

Sehun: what invitation is this?

Kris: you forgotten huh? My birthday is coming in three days omg! How are you even my best friend hais

Sehun: hahaha omg! So sorry kris. I’m so busy lately. I helping my dad with his business that I don’t even have time for myself

Kris: Apology not accepted unless… *smirks*

Sehun: WO WO WO! What is this? Unless what?

Kris: unless you buy me something extra ordinary for my birthday gift if not I won’t forgive you

Sehun: is this a threat? Hahaha anything for my best friend as long as I forgiven

Kris: that’s right hahaha 

Sehun: so who else is coming to the party?

Kris: not really sure because the party was organised by my parents so I didn’t know who they invited

Sehun: did you invited the children?

Kris: of course! How can I forget to invite them? I want to share my special day with them too

Sehun: haha well of course. I’m just testing you

Kris: yeah yeah nice try but I will never forget about them

Sehun: alright let’s have our lunch and order our food. My stomach has been grumbling since just now.

Kris: haha alright alright. Let’s order

Three days later…

(kris house)

Mrs Wu: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SON!! * hug kris*

Kris: thanks mum * hugs back*

Mrs Wu: Do you get your suit ready for tonight Kris?

Kris: of course mum. You reminded me so many times. How can I forgot?

Mrs Wu: I’m just making sure you have your suit. So what time will the children reach?

 Kris:hmmm.. About 5 pm since the event starting at 6.30

Mrs Wu: alright. The catering will also reach around that timing in the mean time I need to you to go up and called your dad for me because there still things that I need to settle

Kris: alright mum. DAD!! MUM CALLED YOU!!!

Mrs Wu: haish this child! Never change!

(Your Pov)

It’s 3.30pm and you carried the food to the van carefully. You were excited and relieve because finally the chaotic day will be over. Annabel has schedule and plan for us to reach at the venue around 5 plus

Annabel: did we take all the food and items to the van already? Anything else that we missed out?

You: Nope, I think that’s it. All of the food and items are inside the van and ready to be deliver *said cheerfully*

Annabel: you look extra happy today Jessica. Anything that I missed out

You: aniya! It’s just that finally the stress going to be over soon!! Hahah

Annabel: ahhh… I thought something happened. Well I think you did a good job since this is your first assignment in organising the food and deco

You: haha thanks Annabel. You help me a lot to ensure I didn’t fail

Annabel: no problem Jessica. What are friends for right? I think we shall get going if not we are going to be late.

You: *looks at the watch* oh yes! It’s 4 o’clock already. Alright let’s go!

(1 hour later)

You: where are we? Are we going to reach soon? It’s 5 pm already

Annabel: hold on Jessica. I’m trying to find the house number. We are going to reach soon. Don’t worry J *pat your back*

You: come let me help you. What is the house number?

Annabel: according to this is house number 100

You: 100?  * Why does it sounds familiar to me?*

Annabel: Alright alright I think this is the house *point toward it*

You: *looks at the house* *this house seems familiar but I can’t really remember*

Annabel:*waves hands in front of you* Jessica, what are you waiting for?

You: oh oh sorry! *exit the van*

Annabel: I will carry the drink inside first and you will take the food okay?

You: okay!

You took out the food and carry it inside. As you were walking, you heard a voice which is familiar to you. You turn to where the voice is from and you were shock to see the person that you wanted to avoid most.

You: Kris? What is he doing here? Omo! I just realised this is his house. No wonder I found the house familiar. Who is he with? So many children around him and he seems to have fun and smiling brightly

You put the tray of food on the table and went back to look at kris again. You were in disbelief because the person you see now is not Kris that you have known. He seems happy and very loving towards the children. You could see how sincerely he is with the children. You were moved with how he is treating the children lovingly and softly. A sight that you have never seen before.

You: Excuse me miss? Can I ask you something?

Someone: oh sure what is it?

You: is that Kris? Son of Mr Wu and Mrs Wu

Someone: yes he is. Today is his birthday that why there is an event today

You: Ouhhh… mind if I ask again? Who is all the children around him?

Someone: ouh the children? They are from the orphanage home that Kris and his parents had built. Every year without fail, Kris will always invite them to his birthday party because he said he wants to share his happy day with them.

You: oh I see. Thank you for bothering you

Someone: ahh you’re welcome. It’s okay.

You look back to the tall figure and on that moment, you know what you should do and give your answer to your parents and Mrs Wu
