40. ALLY

When you die, you go numb.

Ivy felt numb and her brain was empty. It was like flying and leaving her body all at once but funny, she still hasn't died, yet. Ivy knew just one thing and that is she was stupid enough to let herself and her brother stepped inside the hellhole, because no matter how hard she tried, nobody will ever be safe. Ivy hates herself that she can now be included as one of those irresponsible people who has this ridiculous reason of saving other and just let themselves die without trying. But then again what is regret if people know the consequences of their actions? Ivy shivered as the cold metal bed pressed her bare arms and for the first time since forever, Ivy actually fearing something. She doesn't know for how long she has been asleep, and what had happened at the time being. Her body is stiff when she tried to get up, even Ivy found it pretty hard to just open her eyes. That's when she heard a noise, a moving steps. "I thought you were dead," The voice echoed. Ivy forced herself to open her eyes and get up, her body ached like it hasn't been used for so long. Her vision was blur but she was sure that the figure in front of her is a man. "Glad to know you are alive," The man said. His voice become clearer that Ivy could notice that he was actually scoffing at her earlier. Ivy know him. How can people like Ivy forgot him, his voice and his existence? The man smirked, Ivy can see that. "Do you remember me?" The man said. "Forget it, you probably don't even remember your name. The name is Joker," The man smirked, again and Ivy want to punch him instantly, if only she doesn't have to hold on the jail bars to even stand up.

"Shut up, Yong Junhyung," Ivy hissed, it was uncertain whether she was really annoyed or hiss is the only thing she could manage. Ivy tried to look up once again, only to noticed that the man was also behind the bars.

"Damn it woman, you did not just tell me to shut up," Junhyung glared. "So, this is where you have been hiding?" Ivy hissed. "Do I look like I have been hiding?" Junhyung scoffed sarcastically. "Because I am pretty sure that I am not that idiot to chose a dungeon for a hiding place, and this is not a happy place," Junhyung said. "How did you end up here again? Oh yeah, because daddy Kronos doesn't like it when one of his filthy sons refused to do his order, isn't it?" Ivy finally managed to stand up straight and glared back. "And the order I refused is to kill Kwon Jiyong, dear," Junhyung scoffed. The mention of her brother made Ivy taken aback a little. Ivy remembered how straight Jiyong's face was when the gun was pointed at her head. "Aren't you curious? Why you didn't die?" Junhyung suddenly asked. "Rather than curious, I kinda regret it that I didn't die," Ivy sighed. "I designed that gun," Junhyung snapped. "Nobody knows this except me and this ty organization but the bullet wasn't made to kill, but to make someone to feel how it is like, being shooted. But the truth it was only to paralyze the victim," Junhyung blabbered. "This dungeon is also my design. Their technology and equipments, pretty much of it are my design," Junhyung said.
