Chapter 2

"So the blond one has wind powers, and the other blonde one with the girl face has... telepathy?"

"Telekinesis" Dara corrects, chuckling "You seem oddly excited about all this mutant thing, Youngbae"

Youngbae grins "Well, it is. You all have amazing powers" he touches her wind, which moves a little. He gets excited about it and Dara laughs "and my best friend can fly. Tell me that's not amazing"

"For show, sure. For fighting, not so much"

His face somewhat falls, his hand caressing her right wind in complete silence. He seems to be about to tell her something but falters and stays quiet, like he usually does whenever doesn't know how to start a conversation. Oddly enough, Dara finds it endearing; probably because she knows this guy since second grade and that's just one of his many, many quirks.

She takes his hand and shakes it. "Hey, I didn't mean that. Forget what I said"

"But I know you" her friend says, squeezing her hand back "You really do feel useless. You're being dumb again" he sighs "Are you being all emo flying around the ceiling and ?"

Dara chuckles sadly " Ok first off, do you kiss your mom with that mouth?" Youngbae looks scandalized for a second before pushing her soflty. She laughs a little before proceeding "Second: Why do you know me so well?"

He chuckles, softly. The girl fidgets with her fingers like everytime she's nervous so Youngbae drops the subject.

For the moment.

"So any other friend with almighty powers?"

She hits him in the leg. Youngbae has been asking nonstop about everyones powers, her friends and teachers since he step foot inside the school about two hours ago. They last talked on the phone the day before, time in which dear beast friend warned her he was going to drop by and "you better get ready, pink". The girl wasn't even sure students could get visitors but Youngbae wasn't going to stop even if she couldn't, so it was pointless to fight it.

They visited the gardens, the school facilities, watched the telekinesis mutants train and he got so excited about everything Dara was sure she was dealing with a five year old.

Now they were talking about her resident friends ("and no you derp you're still my best friend"), conspicuous by their absence. They haven't showed up the whole day and she was starting to get pissed. Youngbae wanted to meet them, the pricks.

Her friend poked her cheek "Your fanboys are still watching us, by the way"

Dara blinked "What fanboys?" then checked her surroundings, noticing nothing. There were a few students playing basketball though, but none of them paying any kind of attention to anything else but the game. She blinked again "Maybe they're staring at you, you hunk of a man"

"Sandara Park!"

Youngbae blushes, scandalized, shaking his hands everywhere while his friend tries really hard not to laugh. She looks around her again to be sure, expecting to find nothing, and that's when her eyes fall over a familiar group of guys.

These jerks.

"Be right back" she says, spreading her wings. She's about to fly up but halts and glances at her friend "don't touch anybody, please" then she's gone.
