Mark’s P.O.V.

“Hey Mark Hyung! Come here and eat with us! We’re waiting for 30 minutes!” JinYoung screamed
desperately. They’re so impatient… These kids… I need to hurry up otherwise I’ll have to eat
leftovers alone. However… it isn’t that bad idea. If I didn’t go there… I wouldn’t need to meet him.
I wouldn’t hear his cold tone of voice.  It’s not that I dislike him but… it seems he doesn’t pay any
attention to my existence. Actually… I like him… I like him very much. He used to be my best friend.
Yeah… used to… Now we’re like strangers. It’s really uncomfortable since we are in the same group.
He forces himself to smile to me when other members are near us. But when we’re alone… I can
feel his hatred towards me flowing out of his body. Even though I try to talk to him in a kind and loving
way, he always ends up looking down and going away with his cold words “I don’t have time to talk with you.”
I understand he’s a really busy person. Leader’s duty is to take care of many different things. He must be really
tired and exhausted since he stays up really late each night in order to write music for our next album. But…
why is he so… unconcerned towards me? Only me... He treats other members like a part of the family. And
what am I to him? A toy which you can play and next day throw away? No No No… I shouldn’t think like
that. He musts have a reason to hate me… Otherwise he wouldn’t keep avoiding me… would he?
“Hyung! Finally you’re here!” BamBam said with enthusiasm which you could hear in his voice. I looked at
the table and saw everyone except JaeBum. I was looking around but I couldn’t find any sigh of him. Does he
hate eating with me that much? “What’s wrong Mark? Why are you still standing in the same place?” Finally…
I heard his voice… I got goose bumps… My whole body started trembling instantly… I couldn’t help it. He has
such an effect on me, always has. I turned around to see his face. He was smiling… But it wasn’t a honest
smile. This is like a game. Each day he wears a mask in front of others. No one knows how much and why he
hates me. Even I don’t know it myself…
We sited at the table and we were facing each other. Immediately I looked down at my knees. I didn’t have
courage to look at him. I was nervously playing with my fingers till Jaebum stood up and went to kitchen
in order to bring something to drink. It’s my chance… I need to talk with him and figure out some things.
And now it’s a time for it. I guess…I rushed over to him and stopped in front of him. I think it was too silly
and obvious for others that I want to have a talk with JB but I didn’t care about it at that moment. Everything
what I was thinking about was Jaebum. I need to hear his explanation…“Jaebum… Can we talk for a minute?”
He didn’t look like he wanted to talk with me. “Please?” He throw away an empty carton of milk and looked at me
with untouched gaze. “I don’t want to.” Okay… Everything has its limit. I am really angry right now. I just want to
know his reason! I grabbed his hand and turned him to face me. "Don’t touch me!" JB screamed loudly. He teared
out his hand from mine and jumped away. Suddenly he stumbled into the chair and I could see him falling down on the
floor. Before it happened I grabbed his hand once again but this time in order to save him. I lost balance and
we fell on the floor together. It was a really… embarrassing situation. I was lying on the top of him. I looked
at JaeBum’s face in order to check his expression... my eyes widened...No way... It can’t be true. My mouth was
opened but I couldn’t say anything…  He was looking straight into my eyes… I found him blushing so badly... His eyes,
his cheeks... His whole face was red... Wae...? Wae...?! We were gazing each other… I don’t know how much time passed…
Neither I or he didn’t dare to say something…
“Guys, what happened? We heard a really loud…” Omg… We’re doomed…  “What are you doing?” I moved up so JB
could stand up as well. I didn’t know what to say but I started explaining everything to our member-mates. “JB was
about to fall so I grabbed him and… and… umm…” I said nervously… “We fell on the ground together… Anyway…
JaeBum, how is your leg? Did you hurt yourself?” I looked at his right leg and saw a bleeding wound. I panicked a little
because it was all my fault. I knelt in front of him in order to see how serious the injury is. I was about to touch his knee..
but… “Stop It! I don’t want you to touch me!” JB shouted loudly. Suddenly all room was filled with silence. I knew it...
he hates my touch... he hates everything about me... I looked down at the floor because I was about to start crying.
Other members were nervously looking at each other faces not knowing what to do or say. In the end Jaebum broke the
silence... "I'm sorry, I'm going to my room now." he turned around and went in the direction of his room. "What was it?"
JinYoung asked with his shaking voice. I didn’t know what to do… I was just standing there like a fool looking at the
door of Jaebum’s and YoungJae’s room.
