“Hi Siwon hyung!!”

Siwon didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. But… He was strong. Yes, he was. And believed that Ryeowook was in a better place right now, he’s up there, smiling down at all of us, smiling down at him. Ryeowook was safe and healthy up there and that was all it really matters. Siwon nodded to himself, thinking that there was no reason for him to cry. So Siwon waved back at Ryeowook on the screen, as cheerfully as he could.

“Hyung, I’m with God now, are you jealous?” Ryeowook grinned.

This brought laughter to the whole place. Ryeowook and Siwon, they were always the funniest pair. Not many people talked about them or see their interaction and even the fans don’t see it but those two.. They were close. They were close in age and who doesn’t get along well with Ryeowook? Everyone does! Siwon and Ryeowook would often bicker with each other just for the fun of it.

“Hyung, I hope you are not crying. Because then that would mean that I am the reason for the frown behind Korea’s most good-looking man.”

“Hyung, believe me when I tell you that I will be fine. I’ll be happy and you know that I will too. But the other members won’t. They don’t believe in everything that you do believe so… I hope that you can help them, hyung. Tell them I’m safe under the god’s wing or whatever.” Ryeowook shrugged. “I don’t really know what’s going to happen to me but… Everything will be okay right?”

Ryeowook sighed. “Now that I’ve thought about it, I wished I had tagged along to go to the church with you more often.”

“But hyung, you’ll pray for me right? And in return, you’ll know that I will always, always, shine down on you. I’ll look out for you, hyung. I know I don’t need to because you’re already amazing and smart just the way you are but I want to. Just like how I know you’re going to pray for me for the rest of your life, I will do the same for you. If something is going wrong, I’ll give you a sign. I promise, Siwon hyung.”

“Siwon hyung, I hope you stay humble until the very end. I wanted to always be like you. So humble and perfect but… I couldn’t do it. It was too much work.” Ryeowook chuckled. “It’s not easy and I don’t know how you do it, hyung.”

“Please look after youself, hyung. You’re always so busy with your dramas and you don’t ever rest. When SM gives you opportunities to skip a performance since you didn’t get to learn the moves for our dances, you still insist to do it even if you just have to appear for just five second. You never forget us, hyung. Even when the whole world knows that you can succeed without us.”

“You have enough money to last you until you grow old but you still won’t leave us. It’s amazing, hyung. It makes me wonder… Does Super Junior really mean a lot to you that you are willing to sacrifice your precious free time for us?”

“If it is then,” Ryeowook suddenly bowed. “I respect you so much for that, hyung. I love you so much for that, hyung.”

“I’m going to miss your annoying skinship. I didn’t like it before but now… It’s just so automatic. When I need someone to hug me or when I need a shoulder to lean on, you’re always there. Now… I’ll have to get used to not having you around. And I’m going to miss saying I love you to you when I get drunk. You’re always my number one target to annoy when I get drunk.” Ryeowook giggled. “Your reactions are always so funny and whenever I’m drunk and I feel like collapsing or when I feel like the world is spinning, there you come saving me and always getting me home safe.”

“I’ve loved you before, I’ve loved you right now and I’m going to keep on loving you forever. Saranghae, Siwon hyung. And I hope that you will lend your strong shoulders for our other hyungs and our Kyuhyun and Henry. Thank you, hyung. For everything.”

Siwon bowed too. Out of respect and love for his dongsaeng. Someone who had been strong for so long. Someone who had such a pure and beautiful heart. Siwon regretted too. He regretted those times when he annoyed Ryeowook with his skinships but at the same time, he regretted not hugging Ryeowook more and not saying he loved him back.
