“I’m so sorry,” Hongbin whined for the thousandth time, pouring more antiseptic on a cloth. Taekwoon winced as the younger dabbed the cloth at the scratch on his cheek. “I was sure he would like you!”

            Taekwoon sat quietly at the kitchen table with his hands in his lap. Hongbin had his face tilted up so he could clean his cheek but Taekwoon kept his eyes downcast. The younger sighed at his silence.

            “Are you going to be mad at me all night?” he asked as he tore open a bandage. Still getting no response, he sighed again and placed the bandage carefully on the elder’s cheek. “There, I’m finished.”

            This time, Taekwoon nodded slightly in thanks and looked toward the doorway. Soft mews could still be heard from down the hall. After the “incident”, Hongbin had shut Hyoshin up in his room, and the cat clearly didn’t appreciate it. Suddenly Hongbin was standing in front of him, and Taekwoon finally looked up into the younger’s eyes.

            “Are you going to break up with me now?” he asked quietly. Hongbin furrowed his brow and took the elder’s hands in his own.

            “Not a chance,” he stated firmly, sitting himself on Taekwoon’s lap. Taekwoon smiled weakly and leaned up to give his still-boyfriend a kiss. They may not have been together long, but Taekwoon knew he loved the man before him with all his heart. He was still a bit terrified, but he was determined to befriend the demon cat for Hongbin’s sake.
