Unexpected Acceptance
LoveBirds
You sighed. Failed. Again. You looked at the examiner with pleading eyes, hoping against hope that she could at least accept you. Or maybe waiting list?
I’ve already lowered my goals and expectations…Please just accept me!
You squeezed your eyes tightly.
Unfortunately, she was unyielding. You walked out dejectedly, failing your fourth entrance test.
Am I seriously that bad?!You grimaced, trudging home.
“Eh? _______ah, why are you home so early?” You looked at your cheerful mom, and shook your head, sighing.
“Fail? Again? Aigoo, is my daughter that stupid? I bet it’s the dad’s genes.”
You glared at her as she hooted. Or gloated, more appropriately.
Descent of the giggles.
Ever since your dad divorced her, she had been reduced to hopeless laughter everyday.
Well, at least it’s better than crying everyday. As much as you ‘disliked’ the irritating, over-joyful side of your mom, you would hate it even more if she were the crybaby type. That would be a lot of work.
“Oh by the way, _______ah, you have a parcel!” Your mom exclaimed in a singsong voice that made you frustrated.
From who? You wondered…
With shaking fingers, you pried open the envelope, which was in the parcel. “Huh?” You gasped aloud as you scanned the letter:
Dear __________
