Day 15- Donghae

            It was starting again that awful noise that ruckus of voices whispering incoherent words. As we ate there in the dining room of my family’s ancestral house we felt the fear overshadow us. I glanced to my left at my wife Jessica and I could see her turning pale her breathing ragged. Taeyeon my older brother’s wife was sitting at my right and she too was turning pale. Sooyoung my little sister was trembling in her seat while taking deep breaths using her inhaler. We all looked at each other. Each of us tried to give comfort in this time of horror. I gulped and tried to be brave and act normal for my family’s sake. I was the only man in the house so I had to protect them.

            “The food is great Tae as usual what did you add this time?” I asked. Taeyeon looked at me and calmly answered. “I decided to try grandma’s old recipe.”

            My wife on the other hand looked at me as if I was crazy so did my sister as the whisperings became louder and louder. Jessica stood up abruptly from her seat but I pulled her down gently. I looked at her and saw that she was almost in tears.
