The hunger games happens once every 17 years in Seoul. The newly married King and Queen must have a child, and the gender of the baby will tell who will be participating in the games. It is the year 2056 when Athena Lee is born under royalty. The news is out that a princess is born so male contestants will participate in the games. The game makers begin the once the gender is announced. There are 12 districts in Korea, each district must have one and only one tribute to represent them.

These 12 tributes will fight for the chance to marry the princess of Seoul under a few conditions. They must survive on the battle grounds for a minimum of 60 days and they must win the princesses's heart.
