‘Really, Kikwang ah, sometimes you are too full of yourself.’Hyosung chuckled.

  ‘But I AM good looking! I mean, how can I capture the heart of that girl confessing to me in public if I don't have good looks? I don't even know her, and I've never talked to her before!’Kikwang sighed at Hyosung's stubbornness. Why can't she just admit that I'm handsome? Kikwang thought.

  Their walk home after school was the same as usual: filled with their bickering about some minor affairs. Kikwang always praised himself, but Hyosung would never agree with him. Maybe that's why they're best friends: Hyosung wasn't a fangirl of Kikwang, but a supportive friend, with no other motives. Because of Kikwang's crazy good looks, he was extremely popular in the school, which bothered him sometimes. He just couldn't find real friends: Boys were jealous, while other girls didn't interest him...

  Hyosung was different. Right now, she was teasing Kikwang, ‘MBLAQ's Lee Joon is the handsome one! A brillant eye smile, soothing voice, great body...He really has all good qualities! Now that's my type, and I find him much more handsome than you!’She was probably the only girl in the whole school who dared to challenge him about his apperance. Hyosung always showed her true face to Kikwang, which to him was a great treat after his fangirls pretending to be someone they weren't just to please him. He hated their masks, and admired Hyosung for her honesty.

  Hyosung was joking, as usual. She was shy to admit her feelings about Kikwang: that she found him attractive. Hyosung might be bubbly and cheerful, but she didn't really have a great self-confidence. I have no right to enjoy the good looks of Kikwang…

  Hyosung was among one of the most popular girls in the school, just not because of looks. She was famous for her smile: a dazzling, warm and friendly one, bringing a smile on everyone else, even if they were depressed. Hyosung was well aware of her talent, therefore she always wore her smile, in order to bring more joy to the world. But Hyosung was not beautiful, from her point of view.

  To Kikwang, however, Hyosung was beautiful in her own way. She might not have a pair of big, watery eyes, but her small eyes made her smile looks better. They put more energy and sincerity in her smile. She might not be as stick thin as other Korean girls, but she had a nice body...She was cute and beautiful without really trying. Kikwang liked the natural Hyosung very much.

  And no doubt Hyosung liked Kikwang: who wouldn't? His dear eye-smile, his humour, his pure and innocent mind, his looks…Hyosung wasn't sure what Kikwang means in her heart. Did she only treat Kikwang as a friend or something more? These days, whenever she saw Kikwang her heart always did a silent leap. She convinced herself that it's nothing but a pure excitement of seeing her dearest friend, but it was getting out of control. She didn't want to acknowledge her eagerness to see Kikwang, and to be honest, she still didn't know what is love.
