A young girl sat on the couch of a music room, earphones stuffed into her eyes as she mouthed the lyrics to the song. She checked her wristwatch for yet again. 2PM... She noted. Jooyeon Unnie is late.

She tapped her foot impatiently as she scrolled through the songs in her iPhone, plugging her earphones out and putting it on speaker. Time Machine by Girls' Generation drifted throughout the once empty room. She sang along to warm up her voice and stretched as she walked around the room.

An older looking girl burst into the room in the middle of the song, "I'm so sorry that I'm late, Minnie! Did you wait for a long time?" She apologized with a flustered smile and the younger shook her head, bowing respectfully at the same time.

The elder and composer, Ahn Joo Yeon smiled and hugged her favorite dongsaeng, Zhang Mei Xiu who went by her Korean name, Zhang Min Yeon. The door clicked open again and four boys entered the room.

Minyeon recognized one of them. She knew that face, those doe-like eyes, and those delicate features. A flashback struck her like a wrecking ball. It was from a long time ago, when she was still a wee little girl who lost her teddy bear in the attic. She had seen the exact same boy playing in the neighboring house through the window. She remembered when they had first laid eyes on each other, introducing each other using papers.

“What’s your name, mei mei?”

“I’m Zhang Mei Xiu. It’s really nice to meet you. What’s your name, gege?”

“My name’s Luhan. It’s nice to meet you as well! I hope we can be friends!”

The name rang and echoed in her mind. Luhan? He’s an idol? she thought.

The boys threw their bags into random corners as they walked in. Minyeon shot Jooyeon a look, as if to ask “What are they doing here?”

“Oh, they're going to practice the song I'd composed for their new mini-album,” she explained. “Don’t worry. You’ll get your practice while they rest.”

The young trainee nodded silently and made her way to the couch, squeezing herself onto the tiny little thing as Jooyeon moved towards the piano and started to play a melody. Minyeon stared at Luhan who sat on a random chair, watching Baekhyun and D.O as they sang the Korean version of the song, “Moonlight.” She watched him as he started dancing to the choreographed dance moves to the song.

Jooyeon gave the boys a five-minute break after they'd finished practicing, thus giving Minyeon a chance to finally start practicing. She gave Jooyeon a tiny smile as she sat next to her. Jooyeon returned the smile, "Well then, what would you like to sing?" She tilted her head.

“Um…” Minyeon bit her lip in thought as she racked her brain for a good Chinese ballad song. “I want to sing Zhang LiYin sunbaenim’s  ‘I Will’.”

The composer widened her eyes at the mention of the song. Little did they knew, Luhan started to stare at the girls. “I don’t know if I remember the song well, but… here goes.” Jooyeon placed her fingers on the tutes and started playing the tune.
