Day 1 - First Impression

She walked into the cafe ready for her first day of her new job as a barista. It was winter break but she had to fork something out to pay rent. Being the youngest in her family, she really wanted to try being independent for once. That's why she suddenly moved out into a small apartment in the city for college.

Her boss was a really kind man. He showed her around and explained everything to her in detail. Turns out, she only needed to take orders and wait tables. Her co-workers were very nice too. They consisted of a bunch of students from colleges nearby. There were even a few from her own! It was a good start.

The tinkle of the bell at the front door signaled the arrival of more customers. She sighed as brushed off her little apron as she approached the table of the newly arrived customer. It was only tea time but she wanted to collapse on the floor. She never knew working at a cafe would be this hard. Screw it for being at a popular tourist area. Then again, she couldn't complain about her pay. It was reasonable.

He was alone as he sat down and browsed through the menu placed on the table. He looked about her age, maybe a little older. He had burgundy hair, which really intrigued her, a sharp nose and really pouty lips. Probably the best looking male she's waited so far.
