“Man, why are you mad already?” Bobby asked from the side. The two, Jinhwan and Bobby have been staring at Hanbin for the last 20 minutes. And for the longest time, the scowl never left Hanbin’s face.

“They’re holding hands again.” Hanbin stated blankly. There was no anger in his tone but his face said otherwise.

“Yeah, they’re dating.” Bobby emphasized as he looked at Mino and Sarang. They continued to follow the rest of the students up the hill to their campsite.

Hanbin rubbed his forehead after feeling a headache coming over. This can’t continue. Don’t even mention getting closer to Sarang on this trip, it is going to be a challenge to even talk to her at all. There was no chance in hell that he could separate Mino from Sarang.

The students came to a stop when they finally reached flat grounds.

“Attention everyone!” One of the teachers yelled out. “You have been given freedom to choose who you’re going to share a tent with so start setting it up. Remember groups of three.”

Jinhwan and Bobby started putting their tents together without Hanbin. Seeing that a pair of hands was missing, Bobby looked up. “Hey, Hanbin. If you don’t help us now, you’re sleeping outside tonight.”

Hanbin huffs and finally removes his attention away from Sarang. He reluctantly turned around and helped the two boys.

While this was going on, two giggling girls and a blushing girl stared from the side. “So what did you tell him?” Miyoung nudged Jayoung.

Jayoung fidgeted with the ends of her exercise shorts. “I said that I would really like to see him here.”

“That totally convinced him!” Yoonmi excitedly squealed. “Maybe he is interested after all!”

“I don’t think so….” Jayoung mumbled while staring at the boy in focus.

“You said that he didn’t want to go but here he is!” Minyoung tried to encourage her friend. Yoonmi leaned over with a sly grin. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you get closer to him this trip. Leave it to us."

“Has everyone finished?” The teacher went around and inspected the tents.

“Yes!” A chorus of voices rang out upon his question.

“Good.” He answered, satisfied. “Now then, this retreat is to improve your bonds so we are going to play some games.” He smiled when he was greeted with excited cheers. “Earlier, you were all given a specific color. In the woods, there will be three flags of your color and it is your responsibility to find them all. You should help each other in your task and once you complete it, you will return back to the campsite.”

“What if we get lost?” A student yelled out.

“Stay on the main trails. They will be marked with the red sticks to help you find your way around, not to mention there will be signs.”

“Does the winner get anything?”

The teacher grinned. “Of course there will punishments and rewards.”

Jinhwan gasped from between Hanbin and Bobby. “This is….amazing! I didn’t realize school trips were so fun!”

Bobby gave Jinhwan a weird look. “Let’s see if you’ll still say that after you get eaten by a bear.”

“You wouldn’t be saying anything if you’re already eaten.” Jinhwan retorted innocently.

Hanbin couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. Bobby who would feel bad to lash out at Jinhwan turned his attention to Hanbin. “Oh, so now you pay attention to what we’re saying?”

Hanbin shrugged and held his smirk.

“Alright, we’re giving you three hours! Get back before it gets dark!”

The group of students rushed into the woods and Jinhwan pulled Bobby and Hanbin along with him. “We’re the color green so let’s go!”

“He’s like a never ending blob of energy.” Bobby muttered as he and Hanbin followed after the spazzy Jinhwan. “Hey!” Bobby called out to Jinhwan after seeing the boy getting off the trail. “Don’t go up there! We have to stay on trails that are cleared of any grass and brushes.”

Jinhwan quickly went back sheepishly. “Sorry, got a little too excited.”

“When are you not?” Bobby shot back. “He’s so hyper.” Bobby said to Hanbin. If it wasn’t for the two of them, Jinhwan would have wandered off and gotten lost already.

“I don’t think he knows the meaning of ‘relax’.” Hanbin agreed. So far they found one flag…well Jinhwan did.

“You know eventually we have to talk about it.” Bobby said seriously. “Hanbin, this whole thing about chasing Sarang won’t end well.” He sig

Chapter 29: Although it takes almost a divorce for Hanbin to realise his mistake, I hope I can find someone who will try his hardest for me just like Hanbin huhuhu.
Present Sarang might be confused because Hanbin seemed like he changed overnight, but us knowing what he went through and the difficult he overcame then seeing his changing self, it makes me teary eyed.
It was so hard for him to even say that he missed her, but then he became so outspoken that my poor heart couldn’t take it lol.
Really, communication is the key to all relationships.
Once again, thanks for the amazing story! I might drop by the Jinhwan spin-off soon.
(Is there any of your story I haven’t read yet?)
