Language of Love #1: Quality time
"For a person who speaks this language, things like eye contact, deep and meaningful conversations and shared activities are needed to feel loved. Bonding time with their partner is what is most important to them."
(Bold - Him)
(Italic - Her)
Simplicity is the key. Despite our schedules clashing, spending time together gives me the re-assurance that I needed. His calls in the middle of the night telling me about his day and asking about mine, is already great. Despite dates getting canceled every now and then or forgotten texts, the moment he steps into the house and goes directly into my arms, mades up for everything.
"I miss you"
"I miss you too" I replied as we plopped down the couch.
"We barely get to spend sometime together"
"You're here now aren't you. That's all I want"
"But it's unfair to you. I want to take away all your stress or be there beside you when you need someone to rant on whenever you feel like blowing up." He explained
"It feels lonely at times but I guess it's my fault too" I replied
He lifted my chin up and looked directly into his eyes. All I can see is sincerity. He turned me around, cuddling me from behind.
"I'm gonna make up for all those canceled dates and I'm gonna spend all my free time with you"
"You need to rest too you know"
"Seeing you already relaxes me"
"So cheesy"
"But you love this cheese-ball"
"Haha! You're right"
I took his hand and interlaced it with mine. I looked at him again and smiled..
"I love you"
"I love you too"
