“Yoonah ah, will you be my partner for prom?”

“Yoonah ah, will you be my partner for prom?” I asked nervously while scratching the back of my head.

Nam Woohyun! Stay calm!

I scolded myself mentally.

I look straight into Yoonah’s eyes and waited for her reply nervously.

She looked at me with disbelieve.

She did not say anything and just kept looking at me.

Oh damn it! I must have look like an idiot to her…

I guess she have already found herself a partner…

Okay, Woohyun ah, no need to be sad, it’s not a big deal to be rejected.

It’s not like there is no other girl…

And the worst case, I will just have to go myself, not a big deal at all…

I thought sadly as I break the awkward silence.

“Ahh, it’s okay if you have already found a partner. I am just trying my luck here. Just treat it like I didn’t ask.” I said as I started to turn and walk off.

Woohyun ah, you are such a failure!

Gosh! This is so embarrassing!

My thoughts were suddenly interrupted.

“Chankaman!” Yoonah shouted from behind.

Is she stopping me?

But why?

She hasn’t found a partner yet?

It can’t be, she’s so pretty, and many guys will want to be her partner…

I guess she is just trying to say sorry…

So, I turn around and smile at her.

Omo! Woohyun just ask me if I want to be his partner for prom…

His question struck me.

I couldn’t react at all.

I am not angry, I am not upset, I was just so shock.

A part of me is so happy that he finally asked, and a part of me is not sure if I should say yes.

I was in my thoughts when he mumbled something and just walked off.

He’s giving up already?

Without even knowing my answer?

The sight of him walking away like that, gives me the courage and the answer to his question.

I want to hold your hand throughout that night!

With that sudden courage rushing up, I finally managed to stop him as I shouted, “Chankaman!”

He stopped, turned around and gave me a warm smile.

That is just so rude, you never even give me a chance to reply you and you just assume my answer!

I was raging inside as I started to chase after him.

I saw him entering the lift.

I immediately clutched onto his arm.

Woohyun was shock by my sudden action, but seeing that the lift’s door is about to close, he quickly pull me into the lift and the door closed behind me.

“Yoonah ah, what the heck are you doing? Are you trying to hurt yourself again? Aishh! Why are you always like that? Do you know when you are hurt, how will I feel?” Woohyun shouted at me, as he ruffled his hair in frustration.

“How will you feel?”

My question stunned him.

“A…ani… I mean I will… I will…”

Looking at him stammering and trying to find the right words to say, I interrupted him.

“Woohyun ah, why do you come all the way to my hostel and ask me a question? And without knowing my answer, you just walk off? Don’t you want to know my answer at all?”

“I thought you already gave me an answer?” Woohyun asked with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

When did I even tell him anything?

“Ani! I haven’t even say anything yet and you just walk off! I just want to tell you that…” I was stopped by Woohyun.
