jongdae is standing in front of her kitchen countertop, waiting for her bagel to finish toasting, when her phone rings.

“hello?”

“jongdae, when are you done with class?”

“good morning to you too baek. and, at 3. why?”

“great. come to my place when you’re out of class.”

“excuse you. why?”

“to help me set up for the party duh.”

“oh, yeah... that’s tonight, huh?”

“yes. what. you forgot?!”

“no, no. i just-- ugh, i forgot to get a damn costume.”

“oh yeah. you’re gonna need one of those if you wanna get into the party.”

“really? but i’m coming to help your .”

“sorry. i made it a rule. no one gets in unless they have a costume. it’s for crowd control, you know.”

“crowd contr-- what the fu--? never mind. my bagel is burning. i’ll get dressed at your place. see you at 3. bye.”

kyungsoo is sitting in the student center open plaza, checking her email on her laptop, when her phone starts ringing.

“hi sehun.”

“kyungsoo! are you busy?”

“no. what’s up?”

“i have good news!”

“what is it?”

“i got us costumes for tonight. and better yet, we’re gonna be matching!”

“oh, cool. what are we gonna be?”

“BUNNIES!”

“...”

“kyungsoo? you still there?”

“yeah, uh..”

“you don’t sound too excited. come on, kyungsoo. we’ll be twinsies!”

“okay. i guess, i want to see what it looks like?”

“alright, alright. well, i’m done with class in two hours so you can see the costumes when i get back to the dorms.”

“okay.”

“cool, i’ll see you in a bit then. bye~~”

“see you later, bye.”

kyungsoo sighs.

minseok awakes from his afternoon nap to the sound of his phone ringing.

“mrghh..”

“minseok? hello? were you sleeping?”

“mhmm..”

“get up! i’m walking to your place right now. i have our costumes!!”

“hrng..”

“KIM MINSEOK. GET UP RIGHT NOW.”

minseok lifts his head to see that luhan had ended the call. he lets his head fall back into his pillow when five seconds later, there are loud bangs against his front door. he reluctantly gets up because, well, it’s luhan.

he makes sure he’s decent before going to answer the door.

“hi luha--”

“minseok, try this on.” luhan pushes a bag into his arms but minseok is less worried about the plastic bag in his hands (presumably his costume) because luhan is already dressed in hers. and she’s blonde now. she walks into minseok’s apartment while he’s busy gawking.

“wow-- i mean, w-what are you supposed to be?” minseok blinks as he takes in all of luhan’s costume. she looks so cute in it.

“i’m alice! from alice in wonderland, you know?” luhan smiles and holds out the side hems of her skirt playfully, pretending to curtsy.

minseok then looks into the bag that luhan gave him. “and so, i’m...”

“the mad hatter! you’ll look great in the costume, i promise. go try it on now.”

minseok sighs but goes to the bathroom to change. luhan goes into his room to examine herself in his full length mirror. she messes with her hair, brushing out strands.

“he didn’t even say anything about my hair.” she mumbles to herself. her outfit isn’t quite complete. she only has the dress on. she has yet to wear her thigh high white socks and all the rest of her accessories. luckily, she thought to prepare all of this as she’s planning to get ready at minseok’s place anyways. he lives closer to baekhyun than she does. she’s pulling out her makeup bag and hair styling tools when minseok steps back into the room.

“uh, so.. how do i look?”

luhan turns and squeals, running up to minseok to get a better look. minseok feels a little uncomfortable under luhan’s stare and it shows in his posture.

luhan beams at him for a few more seconds before giving a thumbs up then breaking into laughter. minseok frowns and reddens because she’s laughing at him. he knew he looked ridiculous. but now she’s jumping up and down and saying something along the lines of ‘i’m so excited for tonight ah!’ and minseok eventually laughs along with her. but he does not jump.

no, minseok does not jump.

sehun is walking towards the bike rack, sipping a juice box when she yanks the straw away from to groan at the sight of her bike, which is securely locked against the metal railing, but at the same time another bike’s lock is also wound around her wheel.

“ing hell.” she kicks at the offending bike (even though it’s not the bike’s fault, it’s the owner’s).

she kneels down to better assess the situation, seeing if she can move anything but nope, the wire locking the other bike was accidentally woven through, locking both bikes to the rail.

she squats and frowns while continuing to sip at her juice box. she hears the dorm door open, then close. some footsteps sound and then stop right behind her.

“uhh.. sehun?”

she looks up and turns back to face the bikes. “hi tao.”

tao blinks at sehun who remains on the floor.

“uh.. what, are you doing?”

“some idiot locked his bike lock around my bike.” she points to her bike and then to the one next to it. “i can’t get it out. i needed to bike to the drug store.”

tao eyed the bike racks now. “oh, that . well, i-- oh shi--” tao keeps his mouth shut because , that’s his bike that he accidentally locked around the other bike, which he now knows is sehun’s. and she thinks he’s an idiot. which he probably is.

“w-what did you need to go to store for?” tao asks quickly, thinking of a plan.

“just stuff. makeup. more juice.” she shakes her nearly empty juice box and sighs. “i just wanted to go because i had time before kyungsoo got back from class.”

“i... could go with you! if that’s okay?”

sehun looks up over her shoulder at tao. “really?” she stands up. tao nods. “okay. let’s go then.”

“you, uh, go on ahead. i’ll catch up with you!” tao adds when sehun makes a questioning face. “i just forgot something inside the dorm. i’ll be quick.”

“‘kay. i’ll be at the vending machines near the laundry room then.” sehun signals a peace sign and walks off. tao watches her leave for a few seconds before running around the other corner of the dorm. he pulls out his phone and calls jongin.

“hello?”

“jongin!”

“ow, lower your voice. what?”

“can you do me a favor please? are you done with class?”

“yeah, my midterm went well. thanks for asking.”

“oh, that’s good. sorry but--”

“screw you zitao! i was being sarcastic.”

“sorry. jongin. god, can you do me the favor or not?”

“yeah, yeah. what is it?”

“when you get back, my keys are on my desk. i accidentally locked my bike lock around sehun’s bike. she was pretty pissed. just fix the lock so it’s not on her bike.”

“the . do it yourself.”

“i can’t. i’m going somewhere with her right now. i didn’t want her to know that it was me who locked her bike.”

“oh? where are you two going huh?”

“jongin, please. we’re just going to the store. just fix the lock, okay? i gotta go now.”

“you owe me. bye.”
