Getting closer to the bed … watching him sleeping silently makes my heart beat faster and faster as if it is going to explode soon. Actually he is the one who occupied my heart; he is my first as well as my last love.

            The dim light in the room is adding to the miserable atmosphere.

            In his slumber, he flips his body over showing me his wide back. Now is the time…Time for me to complete my revenge. I gulp my gum in fear. Flip his cotton top up with my finger tips, so that I can see the skin and vains on his waist. I fearfully place the syringe on to a vein and slowly press my thumb. He doesn’t move … even a bit. He is totally frozen. I release the syringe when all the liquid has gone and take out from his skin.

            Now, he moves, turns around and looks at me with his smiling eyes but in pain. He grabs my hand slightly and places under his pillow. I can feel something hard and sharp. As I take it out, I can see a letter inside a blue envelope. I gaze at him in confusion. He slowly blinks and utters softly “Thank you. Thank you for letting me go peacefully.” His pinkish lips form into curve, making a last smile for me and says the final words “I love you so much darling.”

            What is happening? I really don’t understand this situation. Why did he say that? Does it mean he already knew about my plan? So, why did he let me do this? The hand which was grabbing my hand falls down as well as his head.

            He is dead now… he is dead … the death I desperately I wanted. And I killed him with my own hand. I did actually killed him, my biggest enemy, my husband, my first love and my last love.  

            I perplexedly watch the lifeless body in silence. After some minutes pass, my mind comes back to my current condition. My watery eyes roll from left to right in anxiety and I snigger madly. It’s done now. I have successfully completed my revenge. But somehow it’s hurt inside my heart and feeling discomfort.
