She
Poems
My eyes are placed on the glass figure in front of me.
She's different.
Her wide, large eyes. . .
A black sea filled with mixed emotions, as if she was lost.
Lost within herself.
Her dull, red curls flowed down like a river.
A mighty river with many twist and turns.
She was different.
I never seen a person like her before.
A broken soul in a fixed body.
She was destined to protect others, and forgot about how it affected her.
She looked happy.
She looked like she didn't have a problem in the world.
But it was all a lie.
A lie covering her outer self with a thick mask.
She looked strong.
She looked brave enough to overcome anything that comes her way.
But she wasn't.
She is scared out of her mind, with no knowledge of what to do.
She forgave, but never forgot about the lies and pain.
She loved, but never stopped to hate and have envy.
She cared, but never knew how cruel she could be.
The world made her different.
She was unique, people say.
Different is what makes you 'you,' others say.
She knew she was an alien.
People didn't look at her carefully.
She was just another pretty face with a warm heart.
They didn't know her core.
They didn't know her thoughts.
They didn't know. . . her at all.
Wow,
I never knew how much you could learn about yourself with a simple glance in the mirror.
