Sooyoung shook the memory of her most recent vision out of her mind; the brunette silent and watching the passing scenery absently. She tried to shudder as inconspicuously as she could and whether or not the other occupants of the van actually noticed it, she soon found herself uncaring. It had been a while since she had worked on a criminal case like the ones she once did and the fact that she received a vision about it worried her greatly.

Beside her, Seohyun fought to hide a sigh, subtly elbowing the person on her other side to get his attention. Kyuhyun arched an eyebrow, soon understanding why when Seohyun merely nodded a fraction towards Sooyoung. Frowning, he tucked a foot under the passenger’s seat and soundlessly kicked up.

What the hell was that for, you moron?

Sooyoung. She’s thinking about her vision again. I’m sure.

Damn it.

This case is a lot trickier than she thought. I think we’re all dealing with a serial killer.

I think so too. A beat passed and Changmin pinched the bridge of his nose in the driver’s seat. Let’s just keep an eye on her, yeah? I know she’s been trying not to worry us but hell, we’ll worry nonetheless.

Under the pretense of looking at the side mirror, Kris hid a frown after a quick glance at Changmin’s face. Just by his expression, Kris knew that the twins were talking again and it didn’t take a rocket scientist at all know that it was brunette seated behind him that they were talking about. Looking up at the rear view mirror, he watched as she continuously gazed out of the window, completely oblivious to her surroundings.

“Soo, are you okay?” Seohyun asked all of a sudden; worry coloring her tone when she got a better look at the older woman’s rather pale complexion.

“Huh. Yeah.” She snapped out of her thoughts, turning away from the window to force a smile at her; Kyuhyun, Changmin and Kris all silently paying attention to the conversation. “I’m good.”

The slightly shorter of the two brunettes opened to reply when her gaze fell down to the accessory Sooyoung was sporting around her neck. “That’s a really nice necklace.”

“Thanks.” A more sincere grin stretched across her face; Kyuhyun imperceptibly leaning forward to see the necklace as Changmin glanced at the rear view mirror to see the angel-winged pendant of the necklace. “I think so too.”

“Where did you get that?”

Color returned to Sooyoung’s face, keeping her attention solely focused on the woman beside her. “A friend got it for me… something about remembering me when that friend saw it.”

“Really?” Seohyun gushed. “That is so, so sweet.”

“I think so too.”

In his seat, Kris was suddenly thankful that he was in a turtleneck sweater.

The back of his neck tended to get all red when he was flustered.

“I hope you all will understand why it has been decided that we will not inform of your participation in this investigation. As much as we do value and respect the amount of assistance you are giving us, it is in the best interest of the general public that this information be kept from them.” The chief of police, Kangta, addressed the members of the Psychic Research and Investigation Center. “If by doing so we have insulted you, I greatly apologize.”

Changmin politely waved it off. “You don’t have to worry, chief. We understand. We know that public is already bothered by the consecutive missing persons cases. We don’t want to add to their fears.”

“Thank you.” He waited until the presentation was flashed on the screen before we continue. “Siwon, Sooyoung, Yunho and Yoona have already briefed me about your team and relevant information about each of the members. What we are about to discuss is highly confidential and should not be discussed with outside of people working on this case.”

Upon receiving the signal, Siwon got up from his seat to begin reporting. “Prior to Sooyoung’s vision, the cases of the five missing females were treated as separately though the possibility that they were related was not disregarded. Now that we have Sooyoung’s vision backing up the high chance that all these cases are related and are in fact multiple kidnappings and murders, the police has decided to combine all five cases under one investigation.”

He pressed a key on the laptop and five pictures of females. “These are the victims of the possible multiple kidnapping and murder case. Their ages range from sixteen years old until twenty five years old.” Another click and only the first of the five pictures remained on screen. “Heo Insook was the first one to go missing, having been last seen on the thirtieth of August, Friday, on her way home from her high school.”

The second picture flashed on the screen. “This is Geum Chaekyung, a twenty year old university student last seen after work for a company that she was interning for.
