(Alone-U-Kiss)
I walked passed all of them with my head held high. I knew this was coming I was prepared for it and still, it made me flustered they were all staring at me. They looked and whispered and then looked and whispered again. But the only word I heard over and over again was that one word I understood in between all the fast Korean was: 외국인 (waegookin) which translates into foreigner. Was I really that special that they have to go out of their way pushing each other and calling each other just to stare at me. And do they honestly think I can't see them.  It's just downright rude. I started to walk faster. And I felt my head lower with every step. I know it was probably just innocent curiosity but I really felt attacked by all the whispers.
I sighed in relieve when I finally reached the classroom for the speed Korean course. I looked around and saw a bunch of Asian girls in different shades. A Caucasian girl with incredibly long blonde hair, she reminded me a bit of Rapunzel. The girls looked at me interested and then went back to talking to each other in their own language except for Rapunzel who apparently didn't have anyone to talk to. I smiled amused when she looked at me she even had the big eyes and freckles of the cartoon character. She quickly looked away. Maybe she thought I was laughing at her. So I walked over there and sat next to her. Since I have no idea where this girl might be from I should start with something simple like...
''Hi!''I said smiling my eye-smile at her. ‘My name is Latoya.''
She looked at me a bit confused but then smiled and said ''Hey my name is Caitlyn.''
My eyes widened ''Oh my gosh you're British, I swear your accent is awesome!''
She laughed and I felt like I found a friend already “Thanks sweetheart, i like your accent too."
We got our introduction and were then allowed to leave. Since school didn't officially start yet.

''Hey Lala, you want to go drink some coffee with me?''Kate asked, she told me I could call her Kate since everybody called her that to which I replied she could call me Lala
''Like the green monster thing from the children’s' show?'' 
I laughed and said ''I'm pretty sure it's the yellow one.''
''She waved her hand at the comment "Who gives a bloody damn about those disgusting creatures know that when I was a toddler I was scared as hell of those things. And as an adult now I feel like those things are serious pedobears.''

''Sure.’’I said ''You already know where everything is here in Seoul? That fast?''
''No, but that's what I have got a phone for, isn’t it?''She said holding up her phone with a grin.
''But what is the fun in that, you should gamble a bit with the small things in live, take chances. Find out which coffee place and which ones are great on your own. ‘I said like it was going to be the biggest adventure of our life.
'' no, i’m not going to get poisoned at some dark alleyway cafe because you want to make a thrill out of everything. ‘She said to me with her eyes widened.
I rolled mine, took her wrist and pulled her along "Oh stop crying, let’s just get some freaking coffee at a nice looking cafe.''

''Well, I have to say, your instincts did get us a cafe with an English menu, so that is at least something. ‘She said staring at the menu ''But if it tastes good is still the question.'' A waiter walked past our table ''Yeah, and nice looking waiters too. ‘She said as she turned halfway on her chair to stare at his after he passed.
''Oh my lord, can you not stare like that?'' I asked laughing. Kate seriously felt like she had been my friend for forever. I guess she has that kind of personality that just makes you feel comfortable straight away.
''Sorry.'' She said in her beautiful London-accent, she didn't sound very sorry though. ''You know what you want?''
''Yeah.''
''Let's order then.''Kate pushed the little buzzer at our table. Within 15 seconds there was a waiter standing with his little notebook and pen behind his ear.
''Annyeonghasseyo, what can I get for you lovely ladies?''He asked.
''Ow another American? It is packed with you guys here isn't it?''Kate asked.
He laughed ''We're a good percentage of the foreigners here, i would have to agree, yeah.'' He said throwing a pretty smile at Kate ''But I’m purely hired for the waegookins in the cafe.''

''He totally was flirting with you. ‘I said as I scooped a bit of white icing off my rainbow cupcake with my finger and put it in my mouth.
''He is a waiter, that’s what they do, sweetheart'' She said and took a sip of her iced coffee.
''No, but this was the hey-girl-I-want-yo-numba kind of flirting.’’ I said smiling.
She looked to see if I was serious and then bursted out in laughter ''Whatever, if you say so sweetheart.''
I laughed too.

First day and already have a new friend. I’m proud of myself.
