To my dear readers and fellow Sones,

I know that by now you have heard the absolutely shocking news about Jessica.

I will not say she has been forced out or that she has departed because the truth of the matter is that we do not know anything. The only official statement that we have received from SM is vague. Literally anyone can twist the words said by SM into depicting the company as absolute evil or that it was all Jessica’s fault or whatever netizens have been arguing about online.

The only thing that is certain is that there are many facts that we do not know and we will probably never know. At this point I am very conflicted. My heart hurts because from now on it will be 8 members of Girls’ Generation and Jessica Jung. That is the cold hard and overwhelming truth as of now.

There is a small flicker of hope inside of me that hopes that it was all just a crazy publicity stunt. But there is a larger and more rational part of me that knows that from this point on, no matter what happens, SNSD will no longer be the same SNSD that I fell in love with. But I will continue to love them nevertheless.

I cannot hate SM. E because although they appear to be the “bad guy” in this situation they are a corporation and business (like any other company) that seeks high amount of revenue for themselves. To us we see the girls as part of our family. To them SNSD is a profit earning group, nothing more and nothing less. Although this is just my speculations I believe that Jessica does indeed have her own individual goals just like any other person on this earth. I also believe that it must have been very difficult to balance those goals with the group activities of SNSD. So I assume that Jessica had to make a very challenging decision and choose between two things that she loved. I believe she wanted to focus on her fashion company and what not for the time being, until it settled down and she could get started on her future goals. So I do believe that she put aside her activities for GG only temporarily.
