"Sir, you're not going to go after him?" Jokwon asked his boss, after Bomi had left as well.

"I learned something, Jokwon," Mr Do said.

"And what would that be, sir?"

"Love is indestructible. No matter how many times one tries to destroy a relationship, the two hearts will always find their way to stay together."

"I'm taking that you're going to let your son be with Eunmi," Jokwon said.

"Exactly. I'm not going to stand here and keep them apart when fate has already decided itself. I once loved and I know what it's like to be apart from the one you most care about. I'm not letting that happen to Kyungsoo."

"That's good, sir," Jokwon smiled.

"Yes, yes. Now go, before I let you go as well today," Mr Do chuckled.

"Yes, sir," Jokwon said, and then exiting the office.

"To: Eunmi

Eunmi's phone vibrated in the pocket of her jeans and she took out the device to check, only to find D.O had sent her a message. Much to her confusion of his sudden changes of mood, she sighed and unlocked her screen to reply. She tapped her thumb on the phone case as she contemplated on what to say. Should she tell him or not? After a few minutes, she began to type.

Eunmi waited and stayed sitting on the seat she was on as D.O had requested of her. She looked down at her wrist watch and began timing, if he wasn't there in ten minutes, she would have left and just texted him she had done so.

Sipping on her mango juice, she tapped rhythms on the table as she stared at the entrance. Looking back at her watch, six minutes had gone by. Four minutes more. Eunmi wondered why he had wanted her to stay there. What could possibly be the reason? She knew one thing, though, that she would leave immediately once he finished saying what he wanted to say. She could not bear stay with him longer than necessary, it just hurt and confused her.

Once ten minutes passed, Eunmi stood up, pushed her chair in and started making her way to the door. When she looked up from putting her wallet back into her bag, she was met with a panting D.O. He rested on his knees and his breath was fast, beads of sweat on his forehead.

"Sorry, just give me a couple seconds to regain my breath," D.O huffed.

"You must have something really important to tell me since you ran," she said, an eyebrow raised.

"Yes," he breathed out.

Eunmi gave him two minutes and it was more than enough to him. When D.O was back to normal and he was breathing normally again, he swallowed the saliva forming on his glands, mostly to try and get rid of the dryness of his throat. He his lips to rid them chapped and heaved a deep sigh.

"All I want to say is I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry, Eunmi."

"For what?" she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Everything," he began. "For hurting you, for being mean to you, for having break your heart. But please know that what I did I only did because I was trying to protect you."

"D.O, please don't confuse me any more than you already are," Eunmi told him, tone almost pleading.

"I-I'm not," he shook his head.

"But you are," she said. "One minute you're angry with me and then the next you're nice to me. I'm trying to figure out what's going on and you acting like this confuses me even more. I don't know if you hate me or like me, I don't know because you keep doing this."

Eunmi and D.O looked at each other for a few moments, silence wrapping the two of them during this before she decided to break the contact and made her way to exit the sandwich shop. D.O held her wrist before she could go on any further, though.

"D.O, let go," she told him.

"No," he sternly said.

"Why not?" she asked, turning around this time to look at him.

"Because I love you."

"What?" she muttered, unable to process what was just said.

D.O pulled Eunmi closer to him and much to her displeasure, she could not seem to find the will to back away. Slowly, the distance between them decreased and the next thing she knew, he was cupping her cheeks while tears brimmed her eyes. Her heart quickened in beat and for a second, it almost felt like air had been from her lungs. D.O felt the same; his heart was beating fast and he tried to keep his breath steady as he looked at her.

"I freaking love you, Jung Eunmi, more than you know," he confessed.

"But you let me go," she told him, the tears finally pouring down her cheeks.

"I'm not letting you go, not again," D.O shook his head.

"You know I can't be with you, D.O, I'm with--"

"Shh," he hushed. "I don't want to think about that right now."

Eunmi and D.O stared into one another's eyes as he wiped the water streaming from her eyes with his thumbs. At that moment, they were both lost in a whole new world and it was as if they were not on Earth. The emotions they were feeling were so extreme they were afraid their hearts would combust. Somehow, as every second passed by, it felt like all their problems had disappeared. They were only engulfed in each other's presence and that was enough.

Slowly, as D.O still cupped her cheeks, he began leaning closer, making the distance between their faces shorter and shorter. Eunmi knew what was coming, but she stayed despite the fact that her conscience was tugging at her brain, saying she shouldn't because of Baekhyun. She held tightly on her bag and shut her eyes closed. D.O closed his eyes, too.

Eunmi then felt the softness of his plumped lips press against her own ones. The way his lips filled the gap between hers felt perfect, it felt magical. They moved so in sync in motion that both felt they were really meant to be. Butterflies emerged in her stomach and goosebumps ran down her back, causing the hairs on her skin to rise.

D.O, however, felt something he has never felt before. It was to truly love and care for someone as much as he did for Eunmi. Kissing her in the place where they met for the first time made the moment even more special. He liked the way her lips felt against his own, how she held her breath in nervousness, which he thought was utterly cute.

After seconds, the two slowly pulled away and Eunmi couldn't help but smile at what just happened. D.O saw her and smiled, too, before enveloping her in his embrace. He pecked a gentle kiss on the top of her head, and released her again.

Once they were back to their senses and realised they were actually in the sandwich shop, they anxiously looked around to see if people were watching, discovering that it was still early for people to he there and found only the shop owner by the counter.

"Um..." D.O murmured.

"Don't worry, the both of you," the owner told them, who looked to be about in her sixties. "Your secret is safe with me. You love birds go and spend your youth with each other. I see couples here every day and not one of them look as much in love with each other like the two of you. Love each other as long as you can."

"Thank you," Eunmi and D.O smiled.

They bid farewell to the shop owner and headed out, D.O pulling the hood of his jacket over his head.

"What do I even tell Baek?" Eunmi asked as she looked worriedly at the ground.

"We'll tell him," D.O said, holding onto her hand tightly in reassurance. "Together."
