The Number Two
The AuthorThe number two has been a very significant number in my life.
It is definatly not my favorite number, but it's a number that I, and many other people I'm sure, love and hate at the same time.
Two represents closeness: a couple of lovers.
It's a intimacy that can only be shared with one. Simply being in your presence sends my heart soar, and just thinking about you makes me smile.
Two represents relatability: a couple of friends.
It's a bond, a pact, a covinent between souls. I tell you my secrets. We share experiences. You make me feel alive and happy.
Two represents being counterpart: a pair of shoes.
It's identity and purpose of existance. Without you I am of no use. Without you I will never be complete. I need you, and you need me.
Two represents more: double scoops of ice cream.
It's simple addition. I recieve twice the amount. Twice as much time to spend with you. Twice as much things to indulge in. Or, twice as much pain to feel.
Two represents unfairness: double standards.
It's not okay, but then again, it is. She can do it, and everyone thinks it's incredible. I can do it, and it's unoriginal. He can do it, and it's completely fine. I can do it, and everyone says I'm going to hell.
Two represents time: two years.
It's relative. I have matured more in the past two years than the people I grew up with. We are the
