CHAPTER 4 10:30 PM AT BAKESHOP Jonghyun and Sulli are talking some things at the counter. 30 minutes left and they will close the shop. While they are in their conversation, a beautiful and bubbly girl enters their shop. The girl goes straight ahead and enters the locker room but Jonghyun, in a flash, blocked her way. Sulli, due to her curiosity she followed Jonghyun. The girl looked at Jonghyun with a questioning look. Jonghyun froze at his spot. He felt electricity when his hand touches the arm of the girl. Sulli, looked at the girl also with a curious feeling. Sulli’s eyes widen when she saw the girl. “OH MY GAWD, Unnie is that you?” Sulli asked with a high-pitched voice. Sulli examine her physique. “You’ve change a lot, you know? You’re very beautiful. You’re like a goddess of beauty,” Sulli praised Yoona. “Yah, it’s too much, I’m not pretty. Somebody just put make-up in me, kekeke” Yoona chuckled. At the other side, Jonghyun’s jaw dropped. He still didn’t believe that the beautiful girl standing in front of him was his best friend, Im Yoona. He managed himself to approach her. Sulli excuse herself with a teasing tone for purpose. Jonghyun walked in front of her. “Yah, what is that face? Did you see some ghost or alien?” Yoona asked sarcastically. Jonghyun look and examine Yoona from head to toe. “Whoa, you-you-you’re d-d-dress is beautiful, it suits you. You’re beautiful in that dress.” Jonghyun said to Yoona. “Yah, why’d you dress like that? And even put some make-up, are you Yoona?” Jonghyun blurted out. “Of course, it’s me can’t you see?” Yoona chuckled. “I dressed like this because-because…” Yoona lost her words. A thought crept into her mind and she frowned. She have something wants to tell Jonghyun but didn’t reveal it. She answered a simple word. “I-i-it’s nothing, just for fun,” Yoona face fell. She avoided eye contact with Jonghyun and she enters their locker room immediately. “Wait, Yoona-“ Jonghyun called her but she still proceed at the locker room and she pretended that she didn’t heard him. “What’s wrong with her?” Jonghyun asked himself and shrugged his shoulders for his own answer. YOONA POV ‘Didn’t you notice Lee Jonghyun? I accepted HyunA’s offer to dress like this because of you. But, you only complimented the dress and not me? What if I didn’t wear this, will you notice me? I know we’re best friends but I am still jealous with other girls that you’re toying. One more thing, I dressed like this because I love you! I hate myself because I fell in love with my best friend. I hate you because you didn’t notice me as a girl. You still look at me like a boy but I changed now. I expected too much at you, Lee Jonghyun. This is not so right. But I can’t forget you, I can’t seriously. I control my tears to not fall down. It hurts me a lot, but I know I don’t have the right to mad at him. I am just his bestfriend, I have no right to be jealous. I am not his lover. But, I am free to love him right? Even if this is just one-sided feeling. I changed my dress into a simpler one. I wore a t-shirt that can be worn by guys, and light jeans. I packed my things up, and ready to leave, Sulli already left. Usually, Jonghyun and me always go home together. I always wait for Jonghyun because he is the one who’ll always close the shop. But now, I’m not in the mood and I hate him.. no, I hate myself. I hate myself for being a dumb falling in love with that guy. I passed through the door and I saw him. Our shoulders brushed. He tried to talk but I rush off hurriedly just to get out of that room and not intended to talked and noticed by him. I am already outside the shop, and I sighed deeply. I walked through the bus station and I just want to let my stupid feelings go. END OF POV JONGHYUN POV I wonder what happen to her. She’s moody since she came here,and the one that intimidating me is why is she avoiding me? What I’ve done to her? I tried to talked to her but she still avoiding me. Her eyes are puffy, did she cry? I am very sad to see her like that. I’m not used to it. I entered the locker room and stock and filed all the things here. I also packed my stuffs and closed the shop. I will definitely walk alone tonight. I am used to be with her in times like this. But, I think I have a fault at her even I don’t know what it is. I don’t want to have a quarrel between me and her. I don’t want to lose our friendship. As I walk in the street I stepped into a cloth and I tripped. “Aish, what the hell” I cursed. I shocked at the thing that I stepped on. It was Yoona’s dress. I remembered the words that I said to her. ‘Whoa, your dress is beautiful, it suits you. You’re beautiful in that dress,’ Aish, is that the reason why she became mad? She didn’t want to call beautiful. What I have done! I did a wrong move. I gotta say sorry to her tomorrow. , I forgot, and honestly, she is truly beautiful in this dress. When I saw her with this dress, I froze at my spot like a statue. I am hypnotized by her beauty, I didn’t notice that she has a side like that.. I mean a side that putting make-ups on and dress like this clothe. She’s an angel, I like her, but we’re not meant to be. She is boyish, she likes girls also. And I have a girlfriend. And she thinks I’m a playboy. I like Yoona but I can’t love her, because I don’t know if she has the same feelings as mine.. END OF POV
