Chapter 3
“Hyung I’m going to the store!” I yelled to Key
“What for this time!? You just went yesterday!” Key walked into the room and gave me a weird look
“I’m waiting…” I said hoping he’d leave it at that
“For…??”
“A book… It’s said to be popular but they haven’t got it in yet… So I’m going to check back” I said rubbing the back of my neck and made a break for the door
“Taemin, You don’t even like reading stage directions that we are given and you want me to believe you want to read a book?” he asked blocking the door
“Yes! Why can’t I like to read!?!” I defensively asked
“No no! It’s fine… But lying is bad…”
“I’m not lying!” I pouted. That always gets them… I’m cute! And they can’t resist!
“Fine just go! And be careful!” he said folding his arms and stepping aside
“Thank you Umma!” I smiled up at him and kissed him on the cheek running out while I had the chance
“Bye hyungs!” I yelled
“Bye!” came from three of them
“Have fun with the veggies!” I heard Jonghyun yell and a slammed door next
“U-umma! Wait! It was just a joke! AHHHH!!!” I heard Jongie yell
“Hehe that’ll teach you to make fun of me!” I smiled exiting the house. I don’t understand why he doesn’t like me… I was always nice to him. But oh well it’s his loss… I walked a little in my disguise to the store I found her in. Ever since I had that first encounter with her I’ve had the urge to go back and see her. Or atleast straighten things out… She probably thinks I’m a big baby…
“Well the kid should have just given me the can!” I said aloud and people looked at me… Great… I ducked into the store and hurried to the back to avoid embarrassment. If Key found out I’m here because of a girl he’d have a fit… He thinks I’m too young to think about girls. He’s almost as bad as my mom! I ducked in between the isles hoping to see her and make an excuse to talk to her. I latched onto my next isle end and stretched my neck to see if she was in the next isle
“Are you looking for another kid to start a fight with?” I heard
“Eek!” I jumped around clutching my chest breathing heavily staring at her
“You scared me!!” I yelled at her and she just laughed at me
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to you were kind of busy though doing… I don’t know what you were doing… Stalking the cereal?” She asked pointing at the cereal boxes in the next isle
“I..uh… I came to see… You?” I slowly stuttered
“Really? I seem to get a lot of you guys coming around lately” she mumbled looking at the floor
“What!? Who? Do you have stalkers? You have to tell someone!” Then it sunk in that I now fell in that category
She laughed at me “Taemin you should think a little before you speak… It could turn into a bad habit and personality trait…
“You know me?” I raised an eyebrow
“Yes” is all she said she didn’t explain further just ‘yes’
“I have to go stock the shelves now.” She smiled at me “Be nice to the kiddies!” she laughed at me while she walked away
“It was mine!” I yelled at her back and she just waved
I walked back home and all I could think about was how she knew my name! I skipped in the door to be stared at by the whole group. Key’s eyes hit the hardest drilling a hole through me.
“Why are you so happy?” Jonghyun asked flatly “Never mind I don’t care…” he said earning a kick from Minho and a slap from Key
“Yah! Be nice!” Key yelled at him
“I met someone!” I smiled up down at the group that was huddled around the table
“Taemin you don’t need to hang out with people they might be there for the wrong reasons…” Key began his speech
“Key she knows who I am! And she didn’t care! She talks to me normally and she’s pretty and her smile is perfect!” I said thinking of what she looked like
“Taemin! You have no times for girls! Get those thoughts out of your head! Right now! Your too young!” Key began his rant
“Way to go Tae!” Minho said while Onew stayed silent
“Lemme guess shes red and has green hair and shiny and you call her Tamato-ah and she smiles at you all day” Jonghyun mumbled which pushed Key over the edge he slammed his eating utensils down making it silent and the whole room flinched
“Kim Jonghyun! If you don’t stop with this constant picking on Taemin your as- is out of this apartment and you will sleep on the welcome mat okay?” Key smiled a devilish grin at Jongie
“Yes u-umma…” Jonghyun waited for the usual beating that never came
“Apologize!” Key demanded
“…”
“NOW!” Key raised his spoon
“I’m sorry Taemin!” Jonghyun flinched
