Lying
Running to Happiness with SecretsWoohyun places Sungyeol down on one of the chairs inside the meeting hall.
“How did you know it was me?” Sungyeol asked.
“Your eyes, they’re really one of a kind. I’ll remember them till the day I die. Sungyeol, listen, I know you probably hate me for ruining your life, but I really didn’t know that my appearance was going to cost you that much.”
“Just stop. I’m not blaming you for anything, Woohyun.”
“Then why did you run away from me?”
“I ran away because I want to live a new life. I don’t want to dwell in the past. When I see you, I just think about those awful memories.” Sungyeol explained.
“So being a part time worker at a book store and bar is considered living better life? Are you even living comfortably? Are you even eating well? Your cheeks are hollowing out.”
“I don’t care. I just don’t want to be near you. I don’t want to owe you anything. We’re even now.” Sungyeol finished off.
Nara was standing near the exit of the meeting hall, waiting for Sungyeol. She saw the two boys talking, but she didn’t interfere. She couldn’t hear what they were saying, but judging by the expressions on both faces, she knew it wasn’t anything positive.
Sungyeol makes his way out and stops in front of Nara.
“Is everything okay Youngsoo –goon?” Nara asked.
“It’s a long story. I promise to explain to you when we get back to the store.”
Woohyun heard the woman call Sungyeol, by the name of Youngsoo.
“Why is he hiding his real identity?” Woohyun was curious.

“So you’re telling me you were actually friends with the vice president for the past six years and that you worked for them and you created the covers for almost half of the children’s books in my store?!?!?!?” Nara raged.
“Yah, basically.” Sungyeol admitted.
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me this!” Nara pouted.
“Are you mad at me boss?” Sungyeol looked at his boss with failed puppy eyes.
“No! I think you’re silly! Why would you run away from someone that treats you so well?”
Sungyeol took a deep sigh, and explained some more. By the time he was finished, he almost had no more energy.
“Awwww, kiddo! It’s okay! Come over here; let me give you a hug.” Nara opened her arms and gave the boy a warm embrace. “So should I call you Sungyeol or Youngsoo?”
“Youngsoo when there are people. No one else knows my actual name here except for you, Woohyun, and L.joe.” Sungyeol decided.
“Alright, but if you keep hiding your true self from the people around you, they might end up getting hurt by you. More specifically, Myungsoo –shi.”
“I -I can’t tell him my past. He’s an idol, he already has lots of problems and we’re not even in a relationship or anything. I don’t want to be a burden to him. Who knows how long he’ll like me. There are so many women out there for him to choose from.”
“Young- Sungyeol –goon, in order to have a real relationship, you have to believe and have faith in that person. You can’t just sit here and wait for it to end. I understand your past was horrible and nothing but a complete nightmare, but you have to be more positive! Enjoy being with someone you love! You’re safe now, there are people around you and they’ve got your back.” Nara gave her advice.
Sungyeol’s eyes became a bit teary. “T-thanks N-Nara. You’re almost like a mom to me.”
“Awww, come on!! I’m too young to have a son as old as you.”
