Running Man (Korean: 런닝맨) is a South Korean variety show; a part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup, along with Barefooted Friends. It was first aired on July 11, 2010. This show is classified as an "urban action variety"; a never-before-seen new genre of variety shows. The MCs and guests complete missions in a landmark to win the race. It has garnered attention as being the come-back program for Yoo Jae-suk, the main MC of the program, after leaving Good Sunday's Family Outing in February 2010.^[3] Airing at the 5 pm KST time slot for most of its run, Running Man switched to the second part of Good Sunday (which happened May 22 and May 29, 2011 with Kim Yu-na's Kiss and Cry but was quickly switched back due to low ratings) beginning May 6, 2012, airing after Kim Byung-man's Law of the Jungle 2 at 6:10 pm and airing against KBS2 Happy Sunday's 1 Night 2 Days Season 2 and MBC Sunday Night's I Am a Singer 2.

Among the members of this variety show, two casts caught everyone's attention:

Kim Jong-kook returned to television, becoming a permanent member of variety show Family Outing, part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup and earning popularity, especially with the love scandals between Lee Hyori and Park Ye-jin. Kim Jong-kook's Hoolala CF with Kim Sooro was released on July 2009. He has also posed for many advertisement for clothing. His sixth album was released on January 27, and a preview of the album was released with the song "Don't Be Good to Me." However the title song for the album is titled "This is the Person". The music video for the song included Park Ye-jin who is famous for the "Family Outing Scandal" between Kim Jong-kook, Lee Hyori and Park Ye-jin. His sixth album is titled "The Eleventh Story" because in his music career, he has so far released 11 albums. It included 3 MV. Right now, he is a regular on SBS's Running Man.

Song Ji Hyo is currently a cast member of SBS variety show Running Man. Song was originally a guest for the second (episode 2-3) and third landmark (episode 4-5). She officially joined the program in the fourth landmark (episode 6) but was unable to attend until the fifth landmark (episode 7).^[2] Some of her characters on the show are Mong (blank) Ji-hyo (멍~ 지효), The Ace (에이스), Miss Mong (미스멍), Bad Ji-hyo, and one half of the Monday couple with Gary.^[3][4]

Song along with Kim Jong Kook although not in an official love line in Running Man have proven to be a fearful team and the ones to beat when grouped together, as proven when they both shared the 연예대상 (SBS Entertainment Awards ) Excellence Award in 2011. Fans have even nicknamed them "SpartAce". 

These two individuals who often compete in the said variety show, just how much endurance can they do if the race that they are supposed to be into suddenly becomes entangled with the raise of their hearts? Will they be able to act as a normal pair even though the other has a famous pair? Or, would they take all the consequences just for them to prove that Monday Couple to SpartAce couple is being unfair?
