“I’ll go take out the biscuits.” the old woman smiled

“Okay.” Dae Hyun nods and turns to you “Hey.” you didn’t answer “Hyo Ri?” he nudge you lightly

“Hmm? Yeah?” you blinked at him

“Are you okay?”

“What? Yeah, of course. I’m totally fine.” you nodded

“You seem to zone out while Mrs Lee was talking.”

“Oh, right.”

“Are you sure you’re okay? I saw Kris walking into the condo earlier. Did something happen?”

“Things happen.” you gave a small smile “I’m fine.”

“If you don’t feel like doing this; you can just go home and rest.” he said

“No, it’s really fine. I’m good.” you grinned

“Okay then.” he nods with a small smile

The first exam week felt like you were sent into the battlefield; you would have a good 5 hour sleep each day and most of the time would be filled with studying. You wanted to leave an impressive first impression when they see your results so you had to give your all and do you best. On the second week, your mind and body had fully gotten used to the tiredness that it no longer was a bother since it didn’t feel like it was there anymore.

You and Kris hadn’t contacted each other since he last appeared at your house; well who were you to blame? He didn’t look slightly amused with any of the words you spoke and you were sure this is the best. Keeping your distances until one day, each of you believes that you can devote your time for each other.

A few more minutes till the final paper would be passed up and you glanced at the watch. You were usually this girl who would leave at least one empty space of answer on the sheet but since Kris helped you with your studies; it was no longer a problem and you were thankful, grateful and forever in debt with him over your success.
