Yixing's eyebrows crease with worry as he hovers over Sehun's frail body, gingerly cradling the young boy in his arms, "Are you alright now, Sehun?"

And Sehun's not alright and he'll never be alright and he wants to scream because he doesn't know what's wrong with him, but of course, he can't say that. No, no, it's wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

So, as in the usual case of Sehun, he allows the next words on his mind to escape his lips without his conscious approval in order to escape the foreboding dread of a silence that's lasted too long.

"As long as you're with me, I am."

Yixing blinks, looking at the fallen man with an expression of innocent surprise, "Pardon?"

The words send shards of the younger man's heart spiraling to the ground below him. "Sorry," he mumbles, "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

Sehun can't remember when he became so good at lying.
