alluded eternities (and the shackles of fate).
Description
They're caught in a web of destiny whose strings suffocate them with their weight and muffle their screams with gentle lips.
Jongin knows that it's wrong but he feels like it's right, and the burden of that distinction is enough to send him spiraling down, down, down, into the emptiness of the dark abyss.
But he fights it, because he knows that he has to live for her - even if she doesn't live for him.
Foreword
excerpt:
"Tell me the truth. Do you even love me?"
There is a pause and it isn't until that very moment that he begins to fully understand the true importance that the question entails, and such a silence is enough to send his heart racing and his mind screaming and something deep inside him imploring her to say yes.
She does.
He expects some sort of relief to wash over his body. But then he realizes that such a notion would be ridiculous because the woman before him is managing to lie and tell the truth at the same time and the significance of that fact doesn't make any sense - though in reality, it makes all the sense in the world.
The nothingness lingers.
"And what about you, Jongin? Do you love me?"
"Of course, Jinri. Always," he responds, too fast, too nonchalant.
He can't judge her because he is composed of the same stars.
