A/N: Short-ish chapter. I wanted to have a chapter between Gui Gui and Aaron which showed the deep bonds of their friendship. I switch between calling Aaron Aaron and Yalun. I am not planning a love triangle with Aaron yet, but I don't know. Right now, they are just extremely close friends (just like in real life). Enjoy and plese leave comments!

Gui Gui was excited about seeing Taecyeon and Eric PD. After all, it had been a while and she did think it would be nice to catch up. She had even contacted translator unni who had coordinated with PD Oppa to have a get together with the We Got Married cast (without Taecyeon’s knowledge of course, she knew how to keep her secrets).

Gui Gui also called Aaron to let him know about her plans. “Yan Yalun!” She said over the phone. “I am coming to Korea when you will be there!”

“What? Why?”

“Kwanghee oppa called me, apparently Taecyeon Oppa’s birthday is coming up and he is throwing a surprise party and he wanted me to come!”

“So you said yes?”

“Obviously! Why wouldn’t I?”

“Gui Gui....I don’t know about this. I mean, you used to like the guy. You still do.”

“God, Yan Yalun, I will be fine. Besides, just because I used to like him doesn’t mean we are not friends. We bonded on that set.”

“But you guys haven’t talked to each other in a year! I mean, isn’t that weird? Even for friends?”

She thought about it for a second. She knew Aaron was right. It was weird that Taecyeon hadn’t kept in touch. They had parted on such good terms that last night, and they had promised to keep in touch. She had tried on her end, but he didn’t really reciprocate as much.

“He has been busy! I mean, he has 2pm work, drama work. Not only that, I read somewhere that he didn’t go to school, so he is trying to make up for it.”

“Don’t you think you are making excuses for him now?” Aaron said.

“I just want to see him again. To see how he’s been.” Gui Gui said softly. “I know where things stand between us Aaron. I know that if he wanted to, he could have picked up the phone and called me. I know that if he was interested he would have pursued me. I am not dumb.”

“So then why are you...”

“So that I can move on! I am not going to cut off ties with him. No matter what, people in the street will always ask me about him. I was known as Taecyeon’s wife for at least the first 6 months and that’s why I became popular. I guess, somewhere, I think that this is the only way to go about this. I mean, I don’t dislike him, I can’t beg him to like me. The least I can do is be nice.”

“But..”

“Listen, you weren’t there when the scandal with my mom broke out, Yalun. Oppa really really helped me through that time. He was trying so hard to make me laugh and be happy. They all did. I can’t turn my back on the kindness they showed me. I am ok with him moving Yalun, I really am. I need to and have too. He’s a good guy.”

“What if he finds someone other than you?” Aaron said.

Gui Gui smiled. “Then I am sure she must be wonderful. I will meet someone wonderful too, I have no doubt about that. Listen Yalun, men come and go but friends stay. And that’s what I am doing. Being a good friend.”

Aaron was quiet on the other end. “What?” Gui Gui asked impatiently. “Why are you so quiet?”

“You’ve really matured, Gui Gui.” Aaron said. “Ever since this virtual marriage, I am surprised to find such new sides to you.”

Gui Gui blushed involuntarily. “Of course I have!” She said loudly, trying to get over her embarrassment. She wasn’t used to her friend saying such words.

“No, I mean it.” Aaron continued. “Before this marriage, you were so different. I can’t explain it. You have changed for the better. Taecyeon will be sorry someday he let you go.”

“All of the men I date should be sorry they let me go.” Gui Gui said chuckling.

“I want to meet this guy.” Aaron said. “I saw in the show that they saw our kissing scene together.”

“O gosh, don’t remind me! That was so embarassing!”

“He was jealous.”

“He was just doing it for show. Besides, wouldn’t you be freaked out if someone you called your wife, even if it was fake, was kissing another man?”

“I suppose.” Aaron consented. “Still, though, I want to meet this guy. Since both you and Kwanghee both like him, he must be pretty cool”

“Maybe you will! Kwanghee oppa is best friends with Oppa.”

“Besides, I have to congratulate the guy.”

“For what?”

“For being able to deal so patiently with you for three months.”

“YAN YALUN!”

Aaron laughed teasingly. Gui Gui had certainly grown and matured into a woman in the last year. Silly, childlike, and fun as she was, she had grown and become a much stronger person than he had imagined. Perhaps there was something to be said for the power of marriage.

Yes, this was going to be a very interesting trip indeed.
