Foreword

The Story of Agonia

There was a land of dragons, once prosperous and rich,

But in this good country, there was a small glitch.

The king’s younger brother was full of envy,

He still wanted more, even though he had plenty.

Against his own brother, he created an evil scheme,

To take the seat of throne, was his dark dream.

He sought for help and found a small human,

An outcast human from the dark magic clan.

Together they worked, both day and night,

Creating a weapon that would give a monster fright.

The king was first to die, protecting his beloved mate,

Escaping with their two eggs, into an unknown fate.

No dragon survived against this dreadful weapon,

The queen was the only left of their brethren.

With the kingdom to himself, the brother was finally happy,

But at his happiest moment, he was killed by his ally.

The outcast human sat down in the royal throne,

This vast and rich country was now the human’s own.

The dragon queen travelled far, far away,

Her crying heart was full of dismay.

She protected her eggs until her dying breath,

A small spell was whispered before her death.

The two would not hatch until the darkest day,

Until then, they would be safely tucked away.

To a human mother, these two would be born,

A human appearance the two would adorn.

Despite all odds, the two would meet twice,

And then, the world would pay the price.

With fury and rage, the two will fight,

In between them, the moon will shine bright,

With a beauty the world had never seen,

It will burn the old queen’s black heart.

During its most prosperous time, the kingdom will fall,

The fate of all people determined at a ball.

The new king and queen will rein this old country,

Dragon, human, and magic will sit in harmony.

For thousands and endless years, there will be peace,

Only happiness, laughter, and prosperity will increase.

Long live the king,

The people will sing.

Forever, and always.
