~2000~ Busan

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Jung So Min. She was a very sweet and shy little girl who enjoyed playing in the park and making new friends...

Little did this girl know that her fate was going to change in that park that she loved so much...

Little 5 year-old So Min sat in the ground of her favorite park clutching her knee trying hard not to cry. She had fallen off her bike and had scraped her knee.

"Are you okay?" a little boy asked her.

6 year-old Kim Hyun Joong was a very shy and quiet boy. He barley spoke to anyone that was not related to him; but today was the exception.

So Min looked up at the boy with unshed tears in her eyes and nodded silently.

Hyun Joong offered the little girl his hand and helped her get up.

"Thank you" the little girl said.

"It's okay if you want to cry, you know?" the little boy said.

So Min shook her head "I don't like crying" she said smiling up at him.

Hyun Joong was just an inch taller than So Min.

"Are you new here? I have never seen you in my park before" she said.

"Yes, I just came on vacation from Korea with my parents" Hyun Joong told her.

"Oh...well...my name is Jung So Min" she said happily at him jumping up and down.

"I'm Kim Hyun Joong" he said coolly. Even for a 6 year-old, he kept his emotions well in check.

'So Min' They heard a woman say.

"I have to go Hyun Joong" So Min said picking up her bike.

"Okay" Hyun Joong said as he watched her walk away.

So Min had started walking away when she had an idea.

She took off a thin bracelet she was wearing and ran back to Hyun Joong.

She took his hand in hers and placed the small bracelet on his wrist.

Hyun Joong looked at her with a questioning look on his face.

"This is so you won't forget me" little So Min said.

"But I don't have anything to give you so you won't forget me."

"It doesn't matter, I won't forget the boy who helped me."

"Promise?"

"Promise"

And with that, they each went their seperate ways.
