Jessica Martin is nothing out of the ordinary from your typical adopted girl. Sure, her Asian facial features and naturally straight dark brown hair didn’t fit her family’s blonde hair and blue eye image, but that didn’t daunt her. Why should it? She has been with this family since she was a mere baby. They took her in, when no other family wanted to. In Jessica’s eyes, the Martin family is her savior.

                Even though Jessica is adopted, this didn’t stop her parents from being extremely strict with her. She was stuck to a tight schedule that had absolutely 0% flexibility to change anything. The only time Jessica has ever seen her schedule change was when her family could leave their house because there was a hurricane, making the conditions outside very harsh and dangerous.

                Jessica’s story will begin on May 8^th, 2000, a few weeks after she had turned 11.
