A Day With Him, How My Heart Flutters
Dreams Or Reality; Which One Is Better?
Hannah sat in the library. She thought back to her dream. A smile crept onto her face.
*I want my dreams to be a reality*
Hannah opened her book, and began to read. A few minutes passed, before she heard the door open. She turned and saw Jonghyun enter. He smiled and walked over to her.
"Hi Hannah".
Hannah was a bit surprised. Not many people called her by her English name.
"Hi Jonghyun" she smiled at him.
"Where are your friends?"
"They're somewhere around the school".
*Did you come here to be with me?*
"I still have to finish my history project. It's due for after lunch".
*Oh.*
Hannah's heart deflated.
"If you want, I could help you" she suggested.
"Oh no. This is my project. I'm pretty sure you have your own to do. Thank you for offering though" he smiled. He went off to browse for history books.
*Pabo. I always get my projects done straight away. You know that*
Hannah was saddened. She continued reading her book. Every time she turned a page, she would glance at Jonghyun. He was busy writing and reading. Hannah wished she could've helped him.
"Excuse me" came a soft voice.
Hannah jumped, before turning around. Standing there was her class mate, Yoo Hyun.
"Hi Hannah. I was wondering did you have the notes from our last English class?"
"I do" Hannah opened her folder, taking out her English notes. Yoo Hyun sat down across from Hannah.
"Do you mind if I use them to study? I lost mine" she admitted, looking away from Hannah.
"You can have them Hyun".
Hannah handed them to her.
"Jinja?!" she asked in disbelief.
Hannah nodded.
"I already copied them down".
"Kamsamnida Hannah!" she exclaimed.
"You're welcome Hyun" Hannah smiled at her.
"You can call me Leah".
"Okay Leah".
"I need to go study these" Leah got up and hugged Hannah before leaving.
Hannah was bewildered.
*That was odd*
"You're such a kind friend" Jonghyun called over.
"We're not really friends".
"Jinja? But she seemed so happy when you helped her".
"She's probably just happy she won't fail our test now".
Hannah frowned.
"How come you always spend your lunch in here?" he asked, joining Hannah at her table.
Hannah looked at Jonghyun. She didn't want to answer the question, but she didn't want to lie to him.
"Because I don't have any friends".
Jonghyun looked surprised.
"That can't be".
"Well it is".
"But, who has no friends?"
Hannah glared at him.
"Me!"
"Jwesongheyo! I didn't mean to upset".
"Araso".
The bell rang.
"Guess I'll see you later".
Jonghyun smiled, gathered his stuff and left.
Hannah followed, after a minute or so.
School came to an end, and Hannah was standing at her locker.
"Hannah!"
Hannah looked to see who called her.
"Oh, hi Ricky" Hannah smiled at him.
"Are you busy?" he asked shyly.
"Um, no, not really".
"Would you like to go get some food?"
Ricky looked down at his feet. Hannah noticed he was blushing.
"Sure" Hannah closed her locker and smiled at Ricky.
They left the school together and got the bus to the town. They walked and talked. Making jokes and laughing.
They entered a fast food restaurant. They ordered their food and sat down.
"I haven't had fast food in such a long time" Ricky beamed looking at his food.
"Same here" Hannah smiled, taking a bite out of her burger.
As they were eating, Ricky's phone buzzed. He took it out, read the message and replied.
"Who is it?"
"Just Jonghyung".
*Is he coming here?*
"Him and Daniel are stopping by" he smiled.
"Is that okay?"
*He is coming*
"I don't mind" she reassured him.
"Hey guys".
Daniel and Jonghyun walked over to the two.
"Hey guys" Ricky smiled at them.
"Hello" Hannah greeted them shyly.
"You want food?" Jonghyun asked Daniel.
"Be back in a minute".
They walked to the counter to order their food.
"No need to be so shy" Ricky giggled.
"Gomawo. I've never spoken to Daniel before".
"Don't worry. He's nice and really funny".
They rejoined Ricky and Hannah after a while. Daniel sat beside Ricky and Jonghyun sat beside Hannah.
*Can't breathe*
The four started talking.
"Ugh! I have so much homework to do" Daniel complained, stuffing his face with chips.
"Tell me about it! I have a ton if maths to do" Ricky hung his head.
"The maths homework wasn't that bad" Hannah reassured Ricky.
"You have it done already?"
"Yeah. I got it done after I finished my History test".
Ricky stared at her in disbelief.
"Are you a robot?"
Hannah laughed.
"Of course I am".
"But your showing emotion" Jonghyun pointed out.
"I'm an advanced robot from the future" Hannah winked at Jonghyun.
They all started laughing.
*Did I just wink at Jonghyun*
They finished their food and left.
"I need to get home. But thank you for today" Hannah smiled.
"Glad you had fun" Ricky smiled back.
"I'll see you all in school tomorrow. Bye" Hannah waved them goodbye and headed for the bus.
"She's a really nice person" Daniel said when she left.
"Yeah. And funny" Jonghyun added.
"And really pretty" Ricky said, absentmindedly.
Daniel and Jonghyun looked at Ricky.
"Ricky's got a crush" Daniel whispered in his ear.
Ricky blushed.
"H-hyung!"
Daniel and Jonghyun laughed at his reaction.
"Let's go to the arcade".
Ricky stormed off. Daniel and Jonghyun followed him still laughing.
When Hannah got to her house, she replayed to day over in her head. As she went to go to her room, someone called from her kitchen.
"JuJu?"
"Yes appa?" she asked as she entered the kitchen.
"How come your home so late?"
"Oh. I was out with some friends".
She noticed her fathers face. For a brief moment he seemed genuinely surprised.
"Thats fine. I was just worried" he smiled at her.
"You don't need to worry appa".
"I've already eaten, so don't keep me dinner please. I'm going to start my homework now" Hannah smiled before going up to her room.
Hannah finally finished her homework. She sighed happily and checked her clock. It was half ten. She was thirsty. She headed down to get a drink. As she was passing her sitting room, she heard her parents speaking.
"Did you hear our JuJu spent the day with her friends?"
"Oh really? That's wonderful".
"I'm glad for her. She's always stuck in the house".
Hannah felt hurt, but comforted by these words. Quietly, she got a drink if water and raced back to bed. She quickly drifted of into a slumber.
