Yesung sat next to the bed, holding Wook's hand and squeezing it gently. The boy was feverish and shivering, his body shuddering as he slept. Wiping his face with a cool towel, Yesung felt his heart break at the sight of the younger boy so fragile and ill.

He looked at the floor and small tears came to his eyes, although he tried to prevent them. Feeling a small hand touch his back, he looked up at Wook's concerned face.

"Yesung, you don't have to stay. I'll be okay." But Yesung would never leave him.

 

Settling the younger boy back on the bed, and shuffling the pillows around, Yesung tried to busy himself so that Wook wouldn't notice the tears. But Ryeowook placed a shaky finger on his cheek to wipe away the drops.

Drying the tears, he looked at Yesung through tired eyes. "Don't cry hyung, it'll be okay."

The older boy smiled at the words, and sat Wook up to help him drink.

 

Ryeowook felt the strength in Yesung's arms as he was supported and he put his lips up to press a gentle kiss to his cheek. Taking tiny sips of the cool water, he felt his eyes closing again and he struggled to keep them open. 

Yesung tucked him back into bed. "Go to sleep if you're tired Wookie, I'll still be here."

"But I want to stay awake. Can we talk a bit?"

"Okay, but just for a little while. I don't want you to be tired. I'll get some soup, and then we can talk, okay?"

Ryeowook nodded as Yesung stood, the older boy's legs stiff from sitting all morning with Wook. As Yesung looked out of the window, he felt his heart swell at the two snowmen outside the window. 

 

Wook had stayed out in the snow all night to make the sweet snowmen, and made himself ill, but it was worth it. The snowmen were a couple, standing close to each other with their carrot noses touching and their stick arms around each other. Yesung marvelled at how much effort Wook had put into the little men. 

 

Beneath the snowmen, spelled out in perfect snowballs, was the message "Yesung, will you be with me?"

 

Going happily to get the soup, Yesung sat with Wook and supported him against his chest as he spooned the warm liquid into his mouth. Wook tried to struggle a little.

"You don't have to do this, you should eat yours before it goes cold."

But the older boy could tell from his voice that he was only being polite, that he didn't really want Yesung to let go. So he hugged him closer and picked up another spoonful, blowing on it lightly before holding it in front of Wook's mouth.

 

Talking softly together, Yesung remembered when he had found the snowmen. He had woken up early in the morning to make some coffee and he had seen them out of the window. The mug fell from his hands and smashed on the carpet as he ran outside to see the small message more clearly. He had read it again and again, before running inside and up the stairs to Wook's room. 

 

Opening the door and bursting inside, he had seen the boy sitting up in bed nervously. He kept twisting his hands anxiously in his lap as he waited for the older boy to speak.

Yesung had pulled him in for a tight hug and kissed his lips.

"Is that a "yes" hyung?" the smaller boy had asked with a small smile. 

"Yes" he whispered. "Yes, yes, yes!"

 

"What's "yes" about?" asked Hae sleepily, before he laughed loudly in delight. "Hyukkie!! It's snowing!"

 

The whole dorm had awoken then, and everyone was out and playing in the snow. There was a chorus of "aww"s as the members had spotted the snowmen, and Wook smiled gently.

 

 Yesung pulled Wook close and they sat together and kissed gently, their lips soft and experimental as they moved tenderly together, swaying a little on the bed. 

They were a perfect mirror of the snowmen outside, and Ryeowook knew that his dream had come true.
