Siwon gritted his teeth as he looked at his boyfriend, the puppy dog eyes, the tear-stained cheeks.

"Siwon, I said I'm sorry.."

"You shouldn't have done it Kyu. That's not a prank, it's way past a prank." Turning away, he heard the tiny noises of his boyfriend crying. The small hiccups and sobs that broke his heart. 

"A-are you breaking up with me?.."

 

Siwon went back to the shaking figure, and embraced him. "No, we're not breaking up. But I want you to be sorry, I want you to apologise for hurting everyone."

"I will, I'm sorry Siwon."

The taller boy held him close, giving him warm kisses as he wiped away the tears.

Taking Kyu's arm, he led the boy to Yesung's room.

 

Kyuhyun opened the door nervously, and saw the older boy sitting on the floor, crying. His sleeves were damp as he wiped his tears, and Ryeowook was cuddling him close, trying to soothe him.

"H-hyung?.."

Yesung didn't respond to Kyu's tentative call, but Ryeowook motioned for the boy to come closer.

"Sungie? Kyu wants to talk to you" he whispered gently, pressing a kiss to his lover's cheek.

"I don't want to talk right now.." the older boy whispered in a voice hoarse from crying, looking at Kyu with red eyes. The younger boy felt tears prickling his own eyes as he looked at the sobbing figure in front of him.

"I'm so sorry hyung... I just came to apologise.."

 

Yesung managed a tiny smile. "I forgive you Kyu.." Turning to Ryeowook he hugged the smaller boy tightly, weeping into his shoulder. "But please go.. I can't talk right now.."

As Kyu got up to leave the room, Ryeowook stood up, and reached for Kyu's hand. As Wook left Yesung's arms, the older boy whimpered pitifully, and lay on the carpet sobbing, the tears trickling down his cheeks and falling to the floor, leaving a damp patch. 

"Wookie.. Don't leave me.." His gaze fell on the empty turtle cage, and he cried harder, his whole body shaking with sobs.

 

Ryeowook pulled Kyu to sit next to Yesung, and cuddled the boy tightly. Yesung looked at the floor, wiping his eyes as best he could. Kyu pulled a tissue from his pocket and wiped the boy's eyes, whispering his apologies.

"I'm so sorry Yesung, I'm so sorry.. I meant it to be a prank, I only put Ddangkoma in the water for a minute.. I thought it would be funny... I'm so sorry.."

The boy sniffed gently, looking at Kyu with wide eyes b with tears. "It's okay Kyu, you didn't know that she couldn't swim.."

Ryeowook began to rock Yesung gently, his hair and giving him a warm kiss.

Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Yesung looked up to see Siwon holding out a cup of tea, settling it on the floor next to him.

 

Surrounded by the other boys, Yesung smiled a little, feeling happier.

"Th-thank you.." he whispered.

"I'll buy you another turtle, hyung.. I'm so sorry..."

"It's okay, don't worry.. It was an accident.."

Siwon gave Yesung a tight hug, and Ryeowook a warm smile, before leaving with Kyu to find Donghae.

 

The boy was cuddled with Leeteuk on the sofa, clinging to the leader in hysteria.

"Why did he do it hyung? He killed Kkoma... He put a turtle on me and killed it.."

"What happened Hae? What do you mean? Try and take deep breaths and tell me what happened."

Eunhyuk came in, holding a plate of biscuits. Sitting next to Hae, he the boy's hair and helped him to take tiny sips of water. "Hae was in the bath and Kyu came in and put Ddangkkoma on him for a prank. Hae screamed and Kkoma fell into the water and drowned because she can't swim."

Leeteuk immediately kissed Donghae's forehead, and softly moved him so that he was cuddling with Hyuk. "I have to see Yesung."

 

"W-we've just seen him hyung..."

The leader glared at Kyu, his eyes burning with anger. "How could you Kyu? How could you?"

"I-I didn't know that she would die! I just wanted to scare Donghae.. I'm so sorry Hae.." The boy was sobbing loudly, pain filling his body as he thought about how much sorrow he had caused the group.

Running out of the living room, he sobbed bitterly, landing on his bed and whimpering.

Siwon sat next to him, feeling the bed shake from the sobs.

 

"Kyu, come and cuddle me. You've apologised to them, you've done all you can. Tomorrow, we'll go out and buy Yesung another turtle, but don't beat yourself up over it tonight."

"N-no hyung.. I broke his heart.. I can't... I-I should sleep somewhere else.."

The taller boy reached out and pulled Kyu closer, feeling him go limp in his arms. The boy was broken, sobbing endlessly in grief. Cuddling him close, Siwon regretted being so harsh on his lover earlier.

"It's okay Kyu, don't cry. Come and sleep with me, everything will be alright in the morning."

"No.. I can't.. Everyone's disappointed in me.. Even Leeteuk hates me..."

There was a small cough from the doorway.

 

"I don't hate you Kyu. Of course I don't. It was an accident, but I hope that you've learned not to try something like that again. Hae was wondering if he could sleep with you both?"

Donghae slipped out from behind Leeteuk, and moved tentatively into the room.

Snuggling on the bed with the two boys, Donghae closed his eyes gently as Leeteuk pressed goodnight kisses to their foreheads.

"Sleep well. Try not to cry anymore."

 

"Why did you want to sleep with us Hae?"

"I heard you crying.." the boy whispered, hugging Kyu. 

Snuggled together, Kyu closed his eyes, wrapped in warm blankets and tender embraces. He had tried to make a joke, but it had backfired and hurt people. Looking at the tears on Hae's cheeks, and hearing the small sobs from Yesung's room, he felt his heart break with pain.

He was so sorry.
