The Right Background for the Right Genres!

Hey! this time I'm gonna show you the do's and don'ts on poster backgrounds

we are also gonna talk about the right bg for each genre and how you peeps do it! lol idk

cause I can see a loooooooot~ of designers get always mistakes on the right texture and bgs to use (lol even me XDDDD)

Fluffy or Cute

This is the easiest one since it's easy to make a cute poster. you can just do a gradient and fill your canvas and the textures and stuff.

so the RIGHT textures for this...I think is light and colorful ones! OFCOURSE!!! XDDD

well if you have a common sense you will not use a FIRE TEXTURE to cute poster right?? XD just imagine it! and it's horrible! :P

so yeah here are some examples for you guys! :DD

so bright and colorful texture or patterns can be used on fluffy genres~ don't use dark solid colors for the BG neh? :)))

use PNGs u know those transparent tingting. and the DIAGONAL LINES patterns? that'll help you~

Romance

For romantics posters all you need is  A BUNCH OF TEXTURES! but don't go overboard or else it'll look messy and stuff.

there are no limits on adding textures okay~ but for pete's sake don't use too many! use the amount of textures like on the tutorial on the Blendings and all that'll be enough to make a romantic texture! ;)

You can always use a BOKEH TEXTURE, LIGHT WATER COLOR TEXTURES, LIGHT COLORED GRADIENTS, FLORAL TEXTURES & LIGHT TEXTURES!

those can all be found on Deviantart! :D Search it up and don't be a lazy like me! :)

see all the lightness in there BD lo whut. Make sure the poster is not too light not too dark!

if it's too dark it'll look like more angst and if it's too light it might hurt your eyes! XD

Angst

It ALWAYS depends on YOU! what kind of angst is it? light angst you know just only some drama parts or the dark ones? the ones with character deaths (which I always hate/sobs)

If it is light angst then ofcourse use light textures! like textures on romnce poster! ;) the difference is just the character is not smiling and doing random stuff! :P

well if it has character deaths then use dark textures!don't but don't use the grudgy ones! just slightly darken it up and voila! a dark angst poster you got!

TiP: You can always play with the adjustments so you can have a more beautiful product! XD

Horror

Horror posters for me is hard! XD cuz you know the ghost stocks that you use! I have traumas you know! ;A;

I don't like thos stuff! But the background should be GRUDGY! but always use a BLACK solid color for base! so the terrifying effect will automatically be there! ;)
